For the first time ever, I'm paying attention to the mileage ratings. the good news is, even cars with pretty strong v6 engines are getting close to 20 miles to the gallon in city driving. even the supposed GAS GUZZLERS are doing a hell of a lot better than they were a decade ago. I don't think I would go for a v8 engine again though. I don't want to be spending 80 bucks a week on gas to drive around town.

I drive at least 75 miles a day in a toyota corolla getting about 35-40 mpg. You bet your life the cost of gas will affect my next vehicle purchase. I'd love to have a big politically incorrect truck that bellows black smoke, BUT I also like being able to afford to live.

No .. Only for the reason that right now i have a suv and it takes alot of gas and even though it does it gets me through the bad weather such as snow.. and also i can put stuff in it if i buy something large from a store even with my three children in hull..

So no i guess it wouldnt..I may look for a suv that is a little better on gas thats about it..

Nope. I let the rising gas prices affect my next HOUSE purchase. It's good to live within walking distance of work. Saves more gas than driving a cardboard box to work.

I'm hoping by the time I make my next vehicle purchase I won't have to worry about gas prices as much. It would nice if fuel cell would be the standard by then. I know it might be wishful thinking, but we have the technology already, but we're just not using it to its full potential.

I am a person who cares. SO yes. but the people with these huge v8 gas guzlers are people with enough money so they dont care about rising prices. The only way to solve the problem is for car companies to make more fuel eficent cars and stop selling gas guzzlers

I drive a Yaris and already think I spend too much on gas. My next vehicle is going to be a donkey.

Yes! Actually my las vehicle I bought was a Toyota Yaris 08. Its great on gas. In Nm gas is $3.19 and I spend $25-30.00 every two weeks!

Yes, Yes Sir, You better believe it. I am not purchasing a new vehicle until they make a vehicle that saves me money.

We traded in our conversion van when the prices jumped a couple of years ago. It got about 11 miles to the gallon. Horrible...I sure do miss the space, though!
