I can't connect with remote desktop connection PLZ READ DETAILS THKS :p?

I have two computers, both running fully updated Windows XP Pro. They're both connected to the same LAN network. I have Remote Desktop enabled on the computer i want to connect to. and the ports are set correctly. Whenever I try to connect to the other computer, either using the computer name or its IP address, I get a "This computer can't connect to the remote computer." message??? I tried many things like creating new accounts, browsing the network for the computer I'm trying to connect to, and following Microsoft's instructions on using Remote Desktop Connection. Could someone please help and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Turn off windows firewall or any personal firewall you have installed on both PC's. Try other programs like TeamViewer http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx

Go into services and make sure Remote Procedure Call is set to Automatic and it is started.
