I can power it on but I see nothing on the monitor and both the power light and the HDD light are on. I checked and replaced the memory, but that seemed to make no difference. I did the same with the video card, but that made no difference either. I tested the power supply and the hard drive on another computer and they are both fine. I finally decided to reflash my bios, I did, and my computer started and booted for a brief minute. After the process of flashing my bios was over, I restarted my computer, and it would not start again. I can't seem to find assistance on this motherboard anywhere since it is almost obsolete. Please help :(

Yea I really don't get along with my parents, especially my mother. I'm 17, I have a job and get a steady income, but my mom sees it fit to take my money and spend it to her own liking. I really hate that and other things she does. I plan to leave when I'm 18 and done with high school, and go live with a friend for a couple months until I can find somewhere of my own. Will my parents be able to hunt me down and force me to live with them?

Theres this girl, I've known for about 2 years now. She's also my neighbor. We met because I was friends with one of her friends and we kind of got introduced. That day I was walking home, I met her on the way and found out that she lives across the street from me. As soon as we met I was instantly attracted to her, she just looked so beautiful in the sunlight and everything. After that she would invite me over to her house and stuff to play Halo or something and a lot of "ackward" moments would occur. Like she would purposely sit on my lap, and me not being used to reacting to ackward situations like that, I would just like stare in shock. I didn't know what to do. Another day she said she wanted someone to talk to at night so I went over and we were sitting in "her" car. It wasn't even a legit conversation because the weather was so cold and I couldn't stop shivering. She put her hand on my face and I didn't know what to do. I got used to her and started to love her kind of. Like some sort of sister but way more than that. I would give her casual presents from time to time like chocolate and stuff and she loved it. My mom kind of started wondering where I was sometimes at night so she stole my phone and checked my texts and flipped out when she found a text saying to meet somewhere with this girl. My mom, being the b*tch that she is, proceeded to call the girl's cell very early in the morning; the girl's mom, being a nice lady, picked up the phone and tried to calm my mom, who was thinking that the girl is just a whore after me for idkwtf my mom was thinking. The girl's mom kept telling my mom that her daughter feels safer with me and everything and all that. I still never got it, but now I understand. This girl has had 2 other relationships after that incident and they all failed horribly. We still talked a lot after our mothers had that little brawl, but I never see her laugh like she did when we first met and she wouldn't really accept any presents I give to her, not even for christmas. Its like something died. When I realized that I neglected her like that and its me that screwed up everthing cried and got really depressed, grades started to drop etc. I kind of got slightly over it but i can never get her beautiful face out of my head. I would always think, at least i can stilil see her at school and talk to her. But, now to make it worse she's in another "bound to fail" relationship and my parents told me that we were going to be moving within the next few months. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, I STILL LOVE HER SO MUCH BUT I CANT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE SHES ALREADY IN A RELATIONSHIP AND I MIGHT NEVER GET TO SEE HER AGAIN!!! Whenever I try to type something and the text entry thing opens up, the characters keep switching like I'm holding the SELECT button...I'm not...I just got my PSP used, supposedly working great.

What's the problem?!

My computer keeps crashing when I plug in my or any other USB flash drive. By crashing i mean it completely shuts off and restarts from the POST. This problem doesn't happen with my USB headset and mouse, it only seems to happen with USB storage devices. I think it maybe because of USB 2.0 drivers or something. I checked all the drivers for the USB controller and their fine. Motherboard and system details below.

Motherboard: Intel D845GBV

OS: Windows XP Professional SP3

All my USB devices are attached via the rear ports (I don't have headers) and yes, the motherboard does support USB 2.0 and it is enabled in the BIOS.

Could somebody please tell me what this is in plain English?

I have two computers, both running fully updated Windows XP Pro. They're both connected to the same LAN network. I have Remote Desktop enabled on the computer i want to connect to. and the ports are set correctly. Whenever I try to connect to the other computer, either using the computer name or its IP address, I get a "This computer can't connect to the remote computer." message??? I tried many things like creating new accounts, browsing the network for the computer I'm trying to connect to, and following Microsoft's instructions on using Remote Desktop Connection. Could someone please help and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Also the project has to be relevant to everyday life somehow.
