Which president is fatter in your opinion, Theodore Roosevelt or Franklin Roosevelt.?

I'm only asking this because I made a bet with someone and when I showed him the pictures he started arguing. So I thought I'd get the opinion of the public.

If you would like to know the bet is for $25

I find it amazing that so many people seem to think that certain questions, which could be settled by merely checking the facts, are a matter of "opinion." This question is a case in point. Of course the real problem is that before you can decide this question, based on the facts, you will have to decide what you mean by "fatter." Do you mean fatter-looking or actually heavier. Also, you will have to determine the time period you are going to use as your point of reference.

For example, during his presidency, Teddy ballooned up to about 200 pounds, which, on his 5'8" frome would make him look pretty tubby. However, after his presidency, when he became more active again, he lost quite a bit of weight, getting down to around 150 or 160 pounds, which would have made him look stocky, but not really fat.

FDR, on the other hand, tended to weigh in at around 180 to 190 pounds for much of his adult life, although with his 6'2" frame he would have looked fairly slender. Toward the end of his life, he dropped down to around 160 pounds, or so, making him look quite thin.

If you are going to insist on taking people's opinions, which, as I have already suggested, are meaningless in this case (unless you decided ahead of time that the question would be decided by the opinions voiced here), then it looks like whoever picked Teddy as the tubbo is going to win. However, without setting the parameters as I have suggested above, whoever picked FDR as the fatty could make a case as well. I suspect that neither one of you will win the $25.

FDR was heavy because of the metal he wore to help him stand errect and inability to properly excercise given the demands of public office up to his dying day. Granted, he

had become thin by the Yalta Conference, but these were

his last years. TR was much more active, treking Africa after being President, but drink and rich foods took their toll. Suggest you weigh-in against FDR because you'll want friends like TR considering where in the next world you'll find yourself next.

Teddy was fatter than Franklin. However they had nothing on Teddy's successor-Taft.

Teddy was by far the heavier. FDR was actually fairly thin.
