Disparity in primary vs. caucus results in Texas?
In my precinct primary, Hillary beat Obama by roughly the state average, about 51% to 48%. However at the precinct caucus, Obama won 80% of our delegates. I've spoken to participants of other precinct caucuses and our numbers were similar to those of other precincts, but the popular vote still had Clinton up by a few percentage points. What are some things that could explain this? Perhaps that Hillary typically does well with an older demographic that might not have shown up to the later caucuses? Or might it be that Obama's campaign seemed to get the word out about the caucus than Clinton's?

Obama has a great "field team." Chances are, he educated his supporters better than Hillary did hers. I can't buy into the last night thing being the reason that Hillary supporters don't go out and support her (just in general). That could be the reason in Texas, but in other caucus states, Hillary hasn't done as well.

I've heard several rumors that the Obama supporters in a number of precincts were caught trying to turn in only the votes for Obama and not the ones for Clinton. I'll have to do some more research before I can give you a link.

Can the primary have more illegal voting, than a caucus? Is the huge difference a sign of this?

Caucasus' are ignorant elitism in this day and age. Neither party should be utilizing a system that disenfranchises so many voters.

it tells you that Obama camp is much more organized. and the clintons think that caucuses are somehow " undemocratic" because they dont work in her favor
