Does anyone else find this as sad as me?

We the people are sitting here arguing about candidates that we only somewhat agree on. They all have major flaws and all of these candidates will be controlled by their party. We need a third party that represents the middle, and we could get rid of these BS politics for good. We need a party that represent the middle, which always makes or breaks both parties in elections.

    Your idea has some merit.

America seems to have polarized to the extremes. Nobody is treading the middle road any more.

But good luck putting it into practice.

well yea its called the democratic part which represents both the middle class and lower class. But I do agree that the candidates have major flaws this election. Obama is just a good speaker with not much experience to back it up and Hiliary is just annoying lol. Its not that we need another party its just that their needs to be more divesity within the candidates.

Look at where there are centrist 3rd parties. They actually increase the power of the extremists. We would wind up with people winning elections with less than 40% of the vote and deals done with outrageous extremists to get bills passed.

I prefer things the way they are for the moment.

The media won't have it. America feeds on opposition. We love our sports, we love to see good vs. evil, see to sides fight it out. So why not our political parties. I wish their was a "moderate party". A party that takes the majority of the people's opinion and puts it into effect. But that won't happen, because it doesn't make a good news story to see things work.

So you divide into three parties, but you still need a majority to get anything done, so you've got to decide which of the other two parties to align yourself with. Suddenly you're not centrists anymore, but left-of-center or right-of-center, depending on who you pick. Join with the right, and everyone in your party who considers themselves left-of-center bails, and vice versa. Before long, you're back where you started.

edit - Sorry for being so cynical. What I meant to say was "Yes we can."

I think you are incorrect. The candidates will not be controlled by the party , they will be controlled by the corporations and the lobbyists.
