If his eye doctor and his diabetic doctor says yes, then I think it would be fine. If I were you I would talk to both doctors about the risk. Then you will be able to make an informed decision.
Medical technology has come along way in the last few
years. What use to be a no, no for diabetics are now considered normal, everyday surgery.
Even though my dad is not a diabetic, he had eye laser surgery and he is 92 and in good health. He did fine. I really think your dad would do fine, if this is recomended by his doctor.

Yes, age doesnt matter neither does the fact that the person is diabetic. My grandmother is diabetic an shes 85 and she had it done just a month ago and everything was fine

In a quick answer, Yes.
It is relatively non-invasive compared to other surgeries and should not at all be considered a technical "surgery"

Depends on his prescription and any prexisting eye conditions. like astigamatsism etc. I cant have it done as my eyes need a prism.
