Greatest NFL Season ever...?

As I have the full 40+ discs from NFL Films, which also show you a one-hour highlight from each year, I think its 1984. Does anyone know why? If not, what year do you think was greatest?

Update:

Greatest season for the NFL as a whole, not one team...

Update 2:

I'm gonna have to give it to 5 Alive, since he lives in the Bay Area! 1984 it seems was the best season ever. Every season has great plays, teams, yada yada. But how often do you get:

Most TD passes/season - Marino

Most rushing yards/season - Dickerson

Most rushing yards career - Payton

Most catches season - Monk

Most catches career - Joiner

That's 5 big time NFL records all in one year. Last year we got Brady setting a TD record with 50, but imagine a season with 5 of those type records happening instead of 1? Truly amazing.

I would guess you say 1984 because of the Dolphins and Niners and the Super Bowl between Montana and Marino.

I was living in The bay area at the time and decided to pull for the dolphins.

    Big mistake.

I'm gona take a stabb at your question...Dan Marino's Dolphins were an unstoppable offense that year. I think that's the year he set all the records. And in the NFC you had The 49er's. both teams dominated there conferences and I think it was the first time ever 2 teams with the best records met in the superbowl....14-2 49ers, 15-1 dolphins?

Season..man, that's hard...but era...I'd have to say that when we had Brett Favre, Dan Marino, John Elway, Troy Aikman, and Steve Young all playing at the same time....whew....those were the years.
