  • Separation Anxiety for Dogs....?

Just got an 18 month old boxer. She is doing great, very smart, learning very quickly, its really amazing. I've had her for 4 days, and she is better around other dogs, doesn't bark in the house, sits/lays down/stays when we ask her, and now even rings a little bell by the door with her nose when she needs to go outside. Overall, its been great. She doesn't even care to chew plants/furniture/shoes or anything like that....so far!

Now comes the hardest part: going back to work. She is crying like 2 minutes after I leave, and I can hear her starting to want to get crazy inside! Outside is not an option, right now. She'll be ok inside for 4-5 hours at a time if we can get over this hump! How can I do it?

PS. I am also trying some crate training, but that will take some time also I know, so any suggestions on how to speed up that process would be great! Thanks.

  • Any advice on doggie/pet insurance out there?

I am getting a Boxer tomorrow. I am considering either Pets Best (www.petsbest.com), or ASPCA, as they seem like the two best on all of the reviews I have looked at.

Any advice on these, or any others? Thanks.

  • Help with Boxer doggy adoption...?

I may be adopting a boxer, 18 month old female. The problem is, she spots a little more than they would like. The organization thankfully is taking all precautions before/if they even let me adopt her at all. She appears to be happy and healthy otherwise.

However, they thought it might be some type of bladder infection. Though I am waiting for final word after X-rays, its possible that she may have a pelvic bladder. I know its also possible that she simply hasn't had a stable home/diet.

Is there anything I can do for her bladder problems if I do adopt her? Is is something she can grow out of? Is it possible once she is stable with home and same persons, she have a normal cycle? If not, is there anyone who has/is dealing with this sort of problem now with their dog? Thanks!

  • How can you get your older brother, 49 years old to move out of the house?

Has been staying with my sister and family for six months, rarely attempts to look for a job, plays video games all day, quite like an adolescent. She took him in to help, but apparently he has taken advantage all of his life, and this seems to be no different. She tried, and now its time for an artfully crafted "come to Jesus talk?" Help?

  • Republicans really don't believe in themselves?

If all we are doing in Iraq is a success, and we're winning or have already won, then why are Dick Cheney and Condi Rice quitting their jobs at year's end? When one is successful, don't they want to continue with their project?

  • Why McCain now?

Why was John Kerry's military service pushed aside and not important to Republicans in 2004, but now, McCain's military experience all of a sudden is? Are they they original flip-floppers, or does McCain simply not bring anything exciting to the table?

  • Well Republicans, does this seal the deal for you?

Now Rupert Murdoch, the President himself of the beloved 'right wing' FOX News, says that Obama is going to win in a landslide, and McCain doesn't stand for much.

Do you feel you have been betrayed? Will you now switch to the Dem side, since you believed in FOX so much?

  • McFadden in 2008....?

What can we expect? The Raiders were 6th in the NFL in rushing last year. 3 different players had 100 yard games. Are we thinking an Adrian Peterson type season, or less....or more? Your thoughts?

  • McCain against his fellow soldiers?

I read that John McCain, who has authorized major cuts in the GI Bill, did so, so that current soldiers won't have anything to entice them to leave the military, but rather, will stay in.

Do you think this is fair? Former servicepersons only if possible?

  • Greatest NFL Season ever...?

As I have the full 40+ discs from NFL Films, which also show you a one-hour highlight from each year, I think its 1984. Does anyone know why? If not, what year do you think was greatest?

  • Direct TV Question....?

You know how you have two cable lines coming from the dish going into the DVR? I was thinking that if I disconnect the one, I could hook up both tv’s in the living room. Have you tried that?

Won’t be able to record the game or anything, but it would be pretty cool.

  • What non-hometown team have you ever followed religiously, without ever going there?

Growing up in Cal as an A's fan, my friend wanted a different team to follow, and chose the Indians, who were horrible in 1980. Though he has never been there, he has been the biggest Tribe fan I've ever seen for 28 years now. He has about 9 jerseys, 5 hats, countless videos, and listens to or watches just about every game. What team do you follow like this, if any?

  • Lane Kiffin fired???

If he does get fired today, or tomorrow, do you think Dennis Green is a suitable replacement?

Al Davis aside, who else can run this team?

    14 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade ago
  • Should Baron Davis be an All-Star?

What do you think? He's the only point guard in the top 10 in Points and Assists, now plays for an exciting, winning team, and also leads the league in steals.

  • Why do Red Sox fans...?

...always have nothing but new caps and jerseys? I mean, its obvious these fans are fans when they win the World Series, and their are so many on the bandwagon.

How come I don't see anyone with a Fred Lynn jersey? Or, a Dwight Evans jersey, or a Mo Vaughn jersey for that matter?

  • GOP Candidates?

Are their really any good GOP candidates running in '08? Seems like the most popular, McCain, can't decide which side he really wants to be on.
