You might get the wax out but the dye is a different story. Once it's been through the dryer it's very hard to remove. I had a tube of lipstick in the dryer once, and 5 years later the stuff is still on the grubby work clothes which is what that whole dryer load became.

Well you could try a hot hair dryer held close to, but not ON the jeans to soften the wax and peel it off. You could put the jeans in the freezer and then in a few hours peel or pick the now hard wax off supposedly it comes off better when it's frozen).

As far as getting any red coloring out from the dyed wax - lost cause there I think. You might try that Oxi-Clean stuff, alcohol (rubbing & rinsing a lot with it) but be careful to not sniff up the fumes! You could also look up how to remove crayon wax from clothing or washer on google, martha stewart . com, or other home shows.

Try scrubbing it with a toothbrush or other stiff brush, maybe even a copper brush for cleaning a grill (careful not to poke yourself). As for cleaning wax out of the washer itself, run it on hot cycle then try using a hard rubber or nylon spatula to scrap and pick it off with.

    Good luck!

P.S. Check pockets and hide crayons from now on ;)

to do away with crayon stains that have been melted onto clothing in the dryer, place the stained floor down on pad of paper towels, spray with WD-40, permit stand a couple of minutes, turn fabric over and spray the different area. practice liquid dishwashing detergent and paintings into the stained section, changing towelling because it absorbs the stain. Wash in favorite water achievable with laundry detergent and bleach for approximately 12 minutes (use heavy grimy putting if there's no minute timer on your device) and rinse in heat water. particular word:warmth instruments stains so sparkling the drum of your dryer to do away with any last wax residue via spraying a gentle textile with WD-40, and wiping the drum. Run a load of dry rags by using a drying cycle to make certain that your drum is sparkling. :)
