when is american idol season 7 wildcard week?

I KNOW!!! I loved danny!!!!!! He was so funny!!! I miss him soooooooo much!!! Why did they do that!!!! :(

Sorry, but they don't have that anymore. In the first couple seasons of American Idol, the top 10 (it was top 10 back then, not top 12) were chosen differently. They started with 30 semifinalists (not 24). Each week (for 3 weeks), 10 people sang and the 3 with the top votes were automatically put into the top 10. This left 9 people after 3 weeks, so to fill the last spot, they had a "wildcard" week where each of the judges got to pick someone to come back and America got to pick someone to come back. Those people sang and the one with the highest number of votes, took the final spot in the top 10. If you watched season 2, that's how Clay Aiken made it in.

They do it differently now. For 3 weeks, all 24 contestants sing and each week 2 guys and 2 girls are voted off. This is fairer because it requires everybody to sing more and allows good people another chance if they don't do so well in one performance. Plus, everybody sings together. In the old system, if you were in a group (of 10) with 3 great singers, even if you were better than most of the people in the other groups, you were still screwed because 4th place would get you eliminated. That's also why they had the wildcard vote.

So unfortunately, you'll just have to wait and see if Danny comes out with a CD of his own, if you want to see him perform .. or you could check out his old performances on YouTube.

EDIT: There is a poll on the ameicanidol.com website asking which person (only 5 options are given) would you want to come back in a wildcard position. Right now, it's only a poll and there has been no official mention of a new wildcard show.

I don't think they have a wildcard anymore, Yet I want to bring back Danny as well. He was go great!

they havent had a wildcard week since like forever ago it seems but they do have a poll on the american idol website that he is winning 69% right now so if you vote as many times as you can on there , there is a chance that theyll bring danny back
