Why does the 2007 Report of Jehovah's Witnesses not state the percentage increase or decrease for 2007?

The official JW website has the annual report, worldwide, for JW activity.

In previous years they always gave the percentage increase or decrease in membership. I can't see it this time. Does this mean they are either standing still or decreasing?

Please don't tell me to do some sums and compare 2007 figures with previous years because I'm numerically dyslexic!

Update:

The link is the official JW website.

www.watchtower.org/e/statistics/worldwide_report_statistics.htm

The percentage figure is not there, so thanks for supplying it.

I don't know where you were looking...

    Anyway, the increase was 3.1%.

Although why you care is beyond me....

We can run into opposers, disfellowshiped ones and apostates in the door to door ministry, on street corners, telephone witnessing, anywhere we preach. Do we then stop witnessing? Certainly not. We are in the world even as we are no part of the world. Paul witnessed anywhere he found himself. We can do the same. While some may choose not to be here, that is there decision according to their conscience. Others choose to use this platform to witness. I know of several cases that have had good fruit as a result. I don't know where my seeds may land, here or in field service, but I don't stop sowing them. For me, it's a very easy step to block the apostates here. It's also easy to ignore the silly questions and find questions that seem to be sincere. There are some. Certainly, you are free to choose where you witness, just as we are. We will all be accountable for what we do, and if we have a clear conscience then we have nothing to fear. We would also want to steer clear of judging our brothers and sisters actions or motivations.

I suspect the reason the percentage increase/decrease is missing is because they don't want people to realise that the number of people partaking of the emblems at the 2007 Memorial service WENT UP to 9,105. It really should be going down. That there was an overall increase of some 3% is significant - when compared to the increase in those claiming to have a heavenly hope.

I'm really wondering why you are concerned with whether they are increasing or decreasing.

Is it important to you? What's the point?

It is enough to compare the total number of Jehovah's Witnesses from 2007 with the number from 2006 to see that there is an increase (Peak Witnesses column).

maybe because they finally realized that there are LOTS more than onehundred forty four thousand of them...and that other people have noticed this as well.. and wonder if people have to fight within that religion to get onto the "saved " one hundred forty four thousand list.... just my opinion, really. Sarcastic ..yes.
