How do you feel about the Daylight Saving Time changes?

For those of you that may not know, DST this year is 2am tomorrow morning (or if you're like me - tonight, lol).

This is really just a general question. Do you like the changes that have been made, or do you think it should have stayed the way it was?

I've seen conflicting reports about how much energy it does/does not save. My thinking of it is...you're getting an extra hour of daylight in the evening, but you're also getting the extra hour of dark in the morning, right? So technically you're using about the same (give or take some, of course).

Personally, I love the extra hour of light in the evening, although I don't like the fact it takes me sometimes weeks for my body to adjust, and don't see how it saves energy, really.

What is your view on it? Do you like it/hate it, or simply just don't care? Just looking to see what others think! =)

Update:

Apart from just the whole DST in general, what about the changes in the past 2 years? Used to be we would set them ahead in April, not March, and back in October instead of November...any thoughts on that? I honestly hate that within 4 months we're changing the dang clocks twice...

Supposedly, this is being done to save energy. But how?

Last week, it was just getting light enough at 6:30AM that I could shave, make the bed, eat breakfast, etc., without turning a light on.

After the time change, NOW I need to turn the lights on! HELLO!!??

I love having the extra hour of daylight when we set the clocks forward. But in the fall when we set them back it depresses me. It is the beginning of my winter doldrums, lol. I guess it's time for me to cheer up!

March and November would work best for me.

I think its retarded. Just adjust the time 30 minutes in whatever direction and be done with it...the energy difference will balance out and people won't have to screw around with it ever again.
