Is this racist? Note that I have only changed black to white?

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly White and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are a Caucasian people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White Community.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.

2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.

3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.

4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO EUROPE.

5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.

6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.

7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF WHITE PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.

8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.

9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.

10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

So the question stands. Is this racist? Would you vote for a presidential candidate who went to a church with this on their webpage? This was copied from the website for Barrack Obama's church. All I did was change Black to White and African to Caucasian.

Update:

Note to readers/posters; I am certainly NOT a Hilary fan as one who answered this implies.

WRONG; I don't like any of them; they are all a bunch of crooks...

Obama, Clinton and McCain!

Can't you come up with anything original? All you Hillary followers lack creativity. And it doesn't really work since white people weren't segregated, enslaved, or all from one continent.

Try changing this passage substituting Latino/Hispanic.

This is a proactive movement to uplift a people that has endured generations of racial and social injustice. Historically, the church has been the institutional voice for a people denied a right to read, a right to vote, and the common decency of citizenship. It is not anti-White, anti-Jewish, or anti-Anything.

Let's try substituting gender...women or gays into this platform.

The American experience is complex at best. I encourage you to seek an understanding about different cultures before you assasinate leaders and institutions. I don't have to hate you to love myself.

Absolutely, and thank you for this information and for asking this question. It seems like people are afraid of talking about race, but it is obviously an issue, and a HUGE issue, or rather the driving force of Obama's possible nomination.

I think it is scary and dangerous to vote for a candidate based on his skin color. It is just as bad as NOT voting for someone based on skin color. There is a strange reverse racism going on.

Only a follower would ask such questions. GOD is in every earth suit. Be a LEADER of self not a follower of those who do not realize that when you shuck your earth suit you are ONE.

There our somethings that you can not change and the words in this is one of them. It does mean almost anything when you insert the words white or Caucasian. Some race issues you can not flip flop this is on of them.

Yeah if ur white it's racist

It is people like you, asking questions like this, that keep fanning the flames of racism.

If it's white, yes - it's racist. If it's black it's not because it would be politically incorrect to say so.
