Is this taking current events to an all-time low?

The question posted on here 7 hours ago in relation to Patrick Swayze ? I think that some of the answers on this have been too sick for words - do you agree with me? If so should we make an effort not to acknowledge anything like this when 'asked' ? or do nothing?

Update:

The 'did you hear Patrick Swayze has been offered......' posted by Dave S

trawl down through the questions in current events - you'll find it - unfortunately!

Update 2:

Don't get at me English Rose - if i hadn't brought it to your and others attention perhaps a few of the new people would have commented in vein thinking we're all bad mouthed weirdos on here! Is this what you would like to see - at some point you have to stand up and be counted!

Update 3:

Skidoo - what on earth are you talking about? Have you confused me with this cretin? I sincerely hope not!

Update 4:

Rodrigues - he wouldn't be my friend - cancer is too close to home and too many of us have either suffered from it or because of it. There is no justification for this - it is not humerous to any decent degree or standard - it is vile and despicable! Actually, i now wish him nothing of a future - nothing at all, let him reflect on that, that's what Patrick Swayze is faced with.

Update 5:

Lady Steph, i once defended 17pdr when a similar accusation was made and unblocked him. Within hours i was reported for a violation and i know who by. I will never defend anyone on here again - we do not know each other but i will never, ever stand by and let rubbish of this sort become the norm on here.

Update 6:

Neart, Gra argus Onoir - are you ok ? I have thought about you a lot. I lost a friend at the same time, age is immaterial, it's the vacuum that's left, stay strong xx

I wouldn't expect anything less from dave s, he thought the recent death of my young daughter was hilarious and treated it as he does the McCanns. Amy Winehouse, Patrick Swayze etc.

I've been here a very long time and at one point I liked dave s. He posted interesting questions and managed to retain a cheeky sense of humour which won him many 'fans'. Lately he's just a very narcissistic person who thinks he runs the category and his humour has sunk to the level you see in that link.

I wish patrick all the very best in his fight and hope he makes a good recovery

Personally I wouldn't bother replying to it, using shock tactics to expose a fundamental truth ( or lie ) and or momentarily lightening the load imposed by such, is black humour at it's finest and for me,a great defuser of tensions which in doing so can be genuinely very funny indeed . As I've just said I wouldn't answer the question , because it attempts to shock and fails miserably, exposing the questioner in an immature attempt at plain unfunny, unsubtle humour .......can't help wondering, if he were ever as unfortunate as to be diagnosed the same as Patrick Swayze would he be able to laugh it off ?....you could say it separates the men from the boys. Unless taking comfort in faith or being a bit of a fatalist , it takes a brave man or woman to laugh in the face of death, something I don't see Dave being able to pull off ......take a lesson from us Gaels Dave, up here black humour is an art form, the sledgehammer approach is best left to an American audience, finally, cancer is probably too close to home for most of us to find real amusement in .

You are so right. I am not going to acknowledge any question that is offensive or downright rude from now on. If their question gets deleted then I we lose point too or if we reply and say so then we get the violations and can loose our account. Thes twats still manage to keep theirs.

I would advise anyone not to answer their questions. They are not nice people to put such a thing up in the first place.......... so why acknowledge them. It just keeps them going to write more. Let them fight amongst themselves who piuts up the worst question or reply. They are not worth the effort of a reply.

I've just read it and told him what i think. There is no need for a statement like that. The poor man is still living. He has a wife who is devasteted.

Whenever someone famous dies, why do all these sick jokes come out. Don't get me wrong, i love a good joke, dirty or otherwise, but when anyone tells me these sick jokes, i just say....bit sick isn't it...and dont smile. This makes them feel awkward and they get embarrassed and realise they have made a fool of themselves. i just refuse to laugh at those jokes just to go with the crowd!

What they have to realise is that we all have husbands, wives, and kids, famous or not. How would they feel if someone made a joke out of theie family dying.

I saw the q and I chose to ignore it so I dont know what it is about. I dont think anyone should be mocked for dying of cancer , I bet the people who are doing that would hate it if they had a middle aged (not even old) relative who had weeks to live.

Had it via text and deleted it straight away for personal reasons. What is encouraging about dave's 'question' is the distribution of thumbs to the various replies.

That man is just an attention seeking prick who enjoys getting a rise out of the rest of us by posting his insane bilge.

The best thing to do is to block the berk and ignore his inanimate questions.

Not a nice thing to write at all, not going to write an answer to it it really is so bad that it needs to be ignored really by me. Has he ever had a family member or friend told they have a few weeks to live. I have and it is no funny matter at all.

Dave s has been taking current events to all time lows for a while now.

He has been orchestrating a nasty and vicious witch hunt on here regard the McCanns for nearly a year.

His post regards a man who could die of cancer is typical of him.
