Cheap testing strips and monitor? I've been using the Target?

Easypro monitor - the strips are half the price of any others. Now, however, my Target store seems to no longer be carrying the strips. The strips were fifty for twenty-one dollars. Does anyone know of another source of the Easypro strips or of cheap strips and a monitor? I am employed, but no insurance.

Walmart carries a brand called RELI-ON. It cost $9.00. The test strips are cheap, too. It's a very reliable unit, I keep one where I work.

Walgreens (I think it's called Precision) and Wal-Mart (Reli-On brand) have generic brands that are probably in line with the prices you paid for the Target ones. But they're all a scam, I'm afraid.

I hope you're working hard on getting a job with insurance...it's critical! Or if you are disabled, getting the paperwork done to get government coverage.

I think you can get a new monitor for free if you change brands ... check with your local pharmacy to see if they have this option, and if so, ask about the prices for the strips ...

Cause we all know its the strips that make them money, not the monitors ... kinda like toner, eh?

    Good Luck ...

Check the ones at WalMart and Sams. I think they are similar in price.

This is one expensive disease, starting with the strips.

Try to get some kind of insurance. You will go very flat walleted very quickly. It is bad enough with insurance!!

Diabetics can eat anything a non-diabetic can eat. You just have to make an adjustment for carbs/sugars. Learn here https://tr.im/diabetestreatment

It is better for diabetics to eat slow burning carbs: potatoes, peanut butter, vegetables, breads, dairy products, etc. VS. fast burning carbs: candy, sugared soda, cakes, ice cream, anything high in sugar. Just know what your carb/insulin ratios (how much insulin you have to give yourself for the amount of carbs you are intaking) are. Adjust according to the amount of carbs(sugars) you are intaking. And, you should be fine. Natural sugars are better than processed sugars.
