The San Jose Sharks defense...?

...are they that good, or does the offense just keep the heat off Nabokov that much. He has only faced 30 or more shots 12 times this year.

I don't see much on them living in the east so i'm just wondering.

PS your welcome for Brian Cambell...i'm from Buffalo and we miss him, we REALLY suck now.

It's the ability to limit shots that has the Sharks winning... that's just good team defense and much of the reason that Nabokov has been so stellar this season.

It will be interesting to see if they can keep that up in the playoffs. Sharks always seem to close very strong and come up short early in the post season.

Our defense is really underrated. We have alot of players that are willing to go down and block shots. We tend to plug up the middle really well and have our sticks on the puck making it really hard to get shots off and if it does, to make it to the net. Nevertheless, it seems as few as Nabby faces, the ones that do make their way through, it requires him to make saves on his head.

And let me say on behalf of SJ fans that we are really thankful for Brian Campbell. He has helped our PP tremendously and given us a dman that can bring the puck up for us especially when they trap hard up on the ice. On the flipside, Steve Bernier may not be Brian Campbell but he is a strong forward who will always go rough it out in the corner and give you some scoring punch. Hopefully the Sharks can get Campbell and the rest of the team a Cup victory this year!
