Is voting for Obama a way of expressing your opinion about the war?

According to the information they gave the news, the rumors about weapons of mass destruction, and terrorist home bases in Iraq were false...and since we removed Saddam and his pals, it is America's responsibility to stop the Shites from attacking the Sunnis, and to form a new democracy in Iraq. That is what we are fighting for, and spending 3 billion a month on.

Is voting for a man who has so little in common with George W. a way of telling Bush what you think of him and his war?

I am not talking about Afganistan

That's what Iraqi sympathizers all around the world want you to believe---and it's not because they are pacifists or because they wish for US troops to arrive home safely!

But if you're an independent thinker, you know that you can effectively express your opinion about the war without going with their flow, dig?

it is not racist, besides the incontrovertible fact that it is not grounded with a sturdy argument, basically assumptions. Black human beings have been vote casting democrat solidly for many an prolonged time on an identical fee. in case you assert what you assert then why have been they vote casting for Al Gore, or John Kerry with an identical numbers? i've got seen in simple terms as lots lack of expertise in the direction of the different candidate from supporters besides. Are maximum white men vote casting for McCain with the aid of fact he's white?

We did remove Saddam from power, the reasons for gwetting in were lies, and we will be repsonsible for the massacare that happens if we pull out now. It is a bad situation. Mr. Obama should have been a little more pro-active on his anti-war views before the war, or maybe did something constructive since he has been in congress( although hillary has dirty hands on this one also!).

I look at it like this. It was a huge mistake getting in there, and we can pick how we want the massacare to happen, cause it's going to happen. We can pull out quickly and it will happen quickly. Or, we can stay for awhile, spend a fortune, and watch thousands die, including our troops who should be finding bin-laden.

The hard part in any election is finding out who is not really going to do what they say, cause what they say is what people want to hear, and that doesn't make it right. I think Obama would make as many mistakes as Bush in Iraq. I think Hillary knows that quick or slow, Iraq is a disaster that will effect our standing in the area for decades, and will lead to huge consequences down the road. Look for a pullback for a short time, a massive bombing campaign, declare victory and retreat to a safe haven, using airstrikes to prop up the friendlies.

They are both liars on this, it's just who do think will actually do something thats going to end our involvement as it is today and break there promise of a withdrawl. It's going to happen, whose the better choice for when it does

    I like Hillary

I think that is part of it, or it makes him look even better than the the other "two". But there is so much more to this intelligent honorable man with a voice of reason backed by comprehensible plans for our nation.

Interesting enough, a vote for Pres. George W was the voice of a nation tired of the Clinton heavy baggage. Sure the economy was better than it is now, but the fact of the matter is that little was being done to protect our nation. The military was skimmed way back. Some say this left our country very vunerable. I am not sure I believed it until 9/11. Apparently those that tried to blow up the towers in the 90's failed and only went back to the drawing board to get it right the next time. I still don't understand why we (the USA) didn't go after them until they were captured. Why did we give up?

Then of course, instead of going after them in the GWB administration, a war was organized against some country that wasn't threatening us. Hillary and John McCain didn't think this disaster all the way through.

It's time to get rid of all of them and move on to a voice of reason and one we all can actually respect. Senator Obama is the only choice and he is not VP material.

This is a revolution Baby...jump on board and ride the tide. :o)

The cost of the Iraq war is 12 Billion a month.

It is a war that America was lied into by Bushco.

For just a fraction of that 12 Billion a month that we are spending for no good reason in Iraq, we could address the problems of Social Security, healthcare, our national debt and alternative energy in the U.S.

A vote for Senator Obama is a vote against Bush and the status quo.

If you would like for more years of Bush philosphy, then vote for Sen. McSame.

No. I don't see the conflict.

America wants to be cleansed of the lice, leaches and fleas.

In the political arena. Obama has a record of clean. and

Resko is Resko. He did his dirt all by himself.

Obama is a breath of fresh air. Even if you criticised him for

being all speech and no substance. He graduated fro Harvard.

He has performed many good deeds.

I have to be honest. I think that's really stupid, just because he's against the war does NOT make him ready to be our president.

In fact, a foreign policy advisor to Obama who recently resigned was quoted telling the BBC that what Obama says about withdrawing from IRAQ is NOT possible; he cannot bring them home in the one year that he promised. It was alie. Designed to fool people like you who don't do their homework and take him at face value.

PS: He did the same with NAFTA for Ohio voters, said one thing on stage, another behind closed doors.

Hillary had a real plan and is HONEST about her plan to withdraw, where Obama is promising magic and won't deliver.

I'm for the Iraqi war at least until we can keep the country defensible. I do not want Iraq to be in control of Iran, esp. w/Iran researching the technology to make ICBM's. Whether or not he will use the technology to do this is personal opinion. However, if we allow Iran to control Iraq, you just put them right in target of their enemy Israel, or the homeland. Why do you think the nuclear reactor was destroyed when a threat controlled it?

  • 1 decade ago

Yes, I think a lot of people don't research the candidates a great deal, they look for that one thing most important to them. Obama said no to the war, and that's what is getting their vote. Voting is support of ending this war is not a bad reason to me. Hillary is also for ending the war.

What has Afghanistan got to do with it?

Voting for a black man is a way of saying we want a black man as our next President. He may not know shi t but he represents a step forward in our tolerance. Hell, maybe we will go for a female next time around.
