R&S regulars, are you ever haunted by other users?

I'm sorry, at first I thought you said 'hunted' and I immediately thought of the scene from the original Planet of the Apes where the humans were being chased through the fields by apes on horseback wielding nets.

Without knowing more about the specifics, I'd say that either it's because you seem to be a pretty open person up here and it might not be that difficult to discern what you would be thinking. Maybe you've given away more about yourself than you realize.

Maybe it is in fact someone who knows you with a 2nd account.

Maybe it's *you* with a second account and you are consciously or even subconsciously posting back to yourself (have you taken your lithium?)

OR

Maybe it's a god come to haunt you.... oooooo

I do answer questions later than others, and here is how I do it. I share this, because it may be the same for these other people...

When I look at the list of "current" (as in most recent screens) of questions and don't find any good questions to answer, then I start looking at my contacts and see the questions that others star and take a look at those questions. Often, those are the best and most interesting questions to answer. Some of those questions often appeared 2 to 20 hours before and so I appreciate knowing about those questions.

My computer is set to show my contacts and what they ask or what they star. So, if I like the question, I'll answer those questions.

Also, if I find a person that has an exceptional answer, I often look at their history to see what they have answered. To me, the brightest people on here ask and answer either a) the most insightful questions, or b) the questions that are off the wall to let off steam.

Do you mean that the answerer is someone that you don't know AND who, by their contacts, you normally wouldn't agree with their sort of answers? Or just that they don't have any of the same contacts as you?

Not sure I'm following this one Jeff. Hopefully their answers are a good kind of profound. ;)

It happened to me with two more users (not regular in R&S, I'm not a regular either).

You know VERY well that you're directing this question at me. I know your little tricks Jeff. You travel into my subconscious and plant your little microchips into my psyche, but the joke is on you now. By Friday I will be rid of you, whether it takes an exorcism or a high colonic.

Though I know you aren't talking about me there have been quite a few times where you and I gave essentially the same answer at the same time. Each time I waved my fist into the air and yelled "Get out of my head!!!" :)

I don't think so. I think I may have an R&S ex floating around somewhere, but nobody really seems to dig into my questions as you describe.

There are some time when I think "You are so me in another body" about some answerers.

I don't think of it as haunted but I do enjoy it when one of my contacts, who I do not see regularly, answers one of my questions hours or even days later.

Like minds often attract one another. With the amount of contacts you have, odds are that there will be a few.
