Does it bother you that McCain's Spiritual Adviser wants to start a holy war with Islam?
Frankly, this is far more disturbing than the Wright or Hagee things.
We are already going to spend 100 years in Iraq and we're probably going to "bomb bomb bomb Iran".
Now McCain is getting "spiritual advice" from somebody that wants us to go to war with Saudi Arabia
Mr Parsley speaks of Allah as a “demon spirit” and urges "war between Islam and Christian civilisation". There is no difference between violent Islamist extremists and moderate Muslims, he argues.

In case you haven't noticed. There has been a holy war going on since Arab tribesmen swept out of the Arabian Peninsula shortly after the death of the Prophet Muhammad in 632. Within the short time span of 10-15 years they conquered the lands of Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Persia, halving the territory of the ancient Byzantine empire based in Constantinople, and bringing the Sassanian Persian empire to a close. These tribesmen were inspired by the faith of Islam, and according to the Muslim interpretation of events given divine aid to judge these two evil empires which had engaged in a pointless war previous to the Muslim invasion lasting some 25 years and destroying nearly the entire region.
now most of Europe is lost. (my own observation)

Spiritual adviser or not, you can't deny the fact that conservatives want to push their pro-Christian agenda. And usually that involves a war with some country that does not adhere to their way of thinking.
And of course on the other side of the coin we have the other country telling their own people that America is the "great Satan" and must be stopped.
When will we as a people wake the F up and see that we're just being used as puppets on both sides?
And I know I will get some thumbs down on this, but have you ever noticed that the people who are gung-ho to go and start a war, never end up going themselves (or having their own children go and fight?)

No. There is separation of Church and State and as long as the President, once elected, upholds the Constitution the question is a non-issue. What is important is what each candidate believes is the best resolution of issues like the war in Iraq and the economy.

For those who didn't click on the link:
"John McCain described Rod Parsley, a televangelist who urged a Christian war on Islam, as his spiritual guide."
It is frustrating to see a large portion of American society voting for such a terrorist! (the American definition of a terrorist)

Nice try but he is not McCain's Spiritual adviser.
You should not make up lies.
He is simply a supporter of McCain, just like Farrakhan is of Obama's

That's odd that we can't find that kind of info on CNN or MS NBC, even more odd that he would choose an Ohio pastor as his spiritual adviser since he lives in Arizona- must be a heck of a trip on Sunday mornings.
I'd say he warmed up to the fellow for votes in OH, Mr. Parsley's church has 12,000 members.
McCain is a member of the North Phoenix Baptist Church per his own admission.

ADD: No, it doesn't bother me in the least.

I don't give a crap about any spiritual adviser.
What bothers me is McCain's need to stir up the Middle East, China and Russia. He's not the president, but he's already spewing the same rhetoric that the Bush Administration has been choking us with for 7 years.

No - because he's NOT McCain's Spiritual Adviser. The racist, rabidly anti-American Wright HAS been Obama's spiritual leader for 20 years - with Wright performing Obama's marriage, "baptizing" his children, etc

Not McCain's spiritual advisor. Get a clue and stop trying to spread lies, it just makes you look stupid and ugly.
