cuse we all wont to judge ppl befor we know them and we lissen to rumors and we start to belive them even though we know there not true and were to closed minded to see that were all human to see that if we worked hard we could all be friends but some are just closed minded about it

Because this involves trust. If trust is placed into the hands of those who cannot be trusted, experience tells us that we can be hurt. Humans, by very nature, hate being hurt, and will do anything to avoid it. So, we refuse to trust anyone unless we are fairly confident that someone is capable of being trusted. The only way for everyone to get along is if we all have altruistic tendencies. The fact that certain individuals are cruel and demeaning is evidence enough that we cannot trust everyone, and therefore cannot get along.

Because people are selfish firstly, and secondly, society is becoming more and more intolerant and untrusting.

I find the only time I feel like a human being anymore is when I go into the quiet of a church. I think wow, it's like stepping out of a spaceship onto mother earth. We are SO FAR from where we are meant to be.

It's too easy to misunderstand others intentions. Everyone has a different map of the world. Few people do things with bad intentions. They are just doing the best they know how with the resorces available to them. This is best illustrated in cultural misunderstanding. Culture being what we learn at our mothers knee without even realizing it. But it's deeply embedded in our subconscious and hence our reactions.

If we all got along, it would obliterate the very purpose of life, which is feeling accomplished and to live to the fullest extent. If we all got along, we would have no reason to feel accomplished, as everyone already is, and that destroys the chance of living life to its fullest. this is a sad but very true fact. Thank you, and have a nice day.

    Politics!

Politics has been in the process of dividing this country for many decades.

    Rob Peter. Pay Paul.

Isolate the rich. Isolate the poor. Isolate color.

    Isolate ethnicity. Isolate religion.

    Reap their votes.

The oldest winning strategy known to mankind.

    Divide and conquer.

    Sad,eh?

To this answer there is not ONE CORRECT answer.

Yes, we are all different. Different customs, different foods, different mannerisms, different languages, but not so different that we cannot get along with one another. If we will disagree without being disagreeable ... a simple rule in dealing with those who are hard to get along with is to remember that this person is striving to assert his superiority; and you must deal with him from that point of view.

I suppose you have to get along with yourself first before you can get along with others.

we are all different so we are not all going to get along, suppose it would be nice thought, in an ideal world.

I'd say because of ego. Ego is a bratty child that would destroy the universe to prove itself right.
