I'm thinking of buying one soon too. I've done a lot of research into it and everything I've found has been pretty much positive. It's a nice car for the money and it's pretty good on gas. It's based on the Sentra and it's sometimes referred to as a mini Murano. I haven't test driven one yet so I can't say how well it drives but I've read good things about that too. The Honda CR-V has gotten great reviews as well but I find that the Rogue is a little edgier and more modern looking. The CR-V looks a little boring to me but that's just my personal preference. As far as dependability goes, I think they're both very good. I know people that buy only Hondas and only Nissans. Good resale value too.

I have had an opportunity to test drive the Nissan Rogue, and I loved it. I currently have a 2003 Toyota RAV4, and I like it better than my RAV4. The Rogue's seats have a lot of comfort, and it has plenty of power. The SL model has a manual shift gate, along with paddle shifters, and even Xenon headlights. I would highly recommend the Nissan Rogue.

Honestly though you can't go with with a honda CRV or a RAV 4. Honda and Toyota make some dependable car and will last you a long time. Maintenance is a lot cheaper on these brands than most others.
Most people forget a nice car means high maintenance, insurance, gas mileage, etc.

I think it's a nice crossover. I haven't ridden one, but I have seen it several times when I was looking for a SUV or crossover.
I don't know about the resell value, specially on a brand new line. My dad has had several Nissans and they have been very dependable, so I don't think you would have any mayor problems.
