Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Is it possible to force Yahoo Answers to get rid of the report button?

Is there any way to get in direct contact with someone who has power over the forum?

We could just consistantly spam like F and S did :D At first I thought it was aggravating, but then I realized what the point was.

We don't have any online molotavs, so what could R&S anarchists do, when oppressed by undeserved violations?

Update:

Haha.

I tried clicking "report" on my own question, but apparently you can't...

If Yahoo gets fed up, they'll just get rid of this section.

    Yahoo is worldwide.

I go to the french Yahoo everyday. There's a report button.

Have a look down at the flags: if Yahoo gets rid of the report button, they will do it for the entire world.

Example: thumbs up / down appeared worldwide at the same time.

    So, good luck ;)

I don't think a post should be reported for simply disagreeing with it, however I have seen posts which were really obscene which I thought should be reported. If you can't say something without being vile here, go to a bar or something.

Soulful Kris is right. They'll get rid of Answers the same way they got rid of the ability to post messages on news stories.

It does have some limited uses, but it does seem like some use it as a "thumbs down" on the question

It takes several hours to report things enough that you lose your account. It takes about 30 seconds to make a new account.

So don't sweat it. They are the ones that are losing, they just don't realize it. And appeal the violations that are clear cut. If you win, it slows them down a lot.

This forum really is not that important to some of us.

OMG? Why am I getting thumbs down?

    That is so unfair!

I hope I don't get reported again! One more time and my account gets deleted!

no, you'll just get a form letter as a reply.

i guess the only solution is to suck it up and deal with it, annoying as it may be.
