As somone said earlier, sofie makes me think sofa, than couch. Do you really want your child with the nickname of couch? cuz you know it will happen. What about sophia and sophie for a nickname?

Without a doubt Sophie is both nicer and more authentic. Sofie is just wrong!

Sophie.
I only like the 'f' one being used for Sofia
On the subject though, I really think Sofia or Sophia is far more elegant and ages better and you can use Sofie/Sophie as a nickname x

I like Sofie, but it will be a lot easier for bub to go with the more common spelling, Sophie.

Sophie, from Greek, meaning wisdom.
the "f" is an English derivation from the Greek letter "phi".
Sophie has more of a mediterranean feel, Sofie, a more latin-american.

Sophie or Sofia.
I think if you use Sofie it kind of looks like you can't spell. I don't mean that in an offensive way, and apologise if it sounds offensive.
