Does anybody really care about Ferraro's or Wright's comments?

I could really care less about what Gerry Ferraro (Hillary's camp) or Jeremiah Wright (Obama's camp) have to say. I care about what the candidates have to say and solutions they have. All of this nonsense is clouding the real issues - our economy, the war, education, the housing debacle, etc. Is it just me?

BTW: Did anybody buy gas this morning? $3.22 a gallon! That's my concern!

Update:

For those who think these comments and commentors are critical (because the thoughts must have been impressive on the respective candidate) I respectfully disagree.

The mere fact of being in someone's presence does not mean that you absorb and subscribe to all their views. There is a method we all use of eating the fish and spitting out the bones. Yes? I love my parents dearly and lived with them for 20 years, however I do not agree with all of their points of view.

I look at some statements as views of the speaker, not views of the candidate. Otherwise, we have to dig up and analyze every friend, family member, classmate, professor, neighbor, co-worker and staffer of Obama and Clinton. In reality what matters to me are their own views.

Thanks for answering, but some of us will have to agree to disagree.

You can't choose your relatives. You choose your spiritual advisor. Wrights comments are in line with black liberation theology. As to why Oprah and Obama attend his church, it's likely because of its popularity in the Chicago black community. Taken in context of the messages of Wright, it's understandable why Obama's wife made the statement that for the first time in her adult life she is proud of her country. Now it makes sense. We do not know very much about the man Obama and his pick for a spiritual advisor begins to open the door. Gas price would go down if the government would cut the gas tax.

Wright's without a doubt, complete ignorance, and using his power and influence people's lives, with nothing but lies. Ferraro just made a statement, which some people do believe what is true, but that is just that. Compare that to Wrights and he takes the cake. Its really scary when you see someone in that position talking like that, and persuading and changes influences of young people.

Yeah, I think we should All be concerned that a candidate for President has been attending a radically racist church for 23 years! And that prior to the right-wing media showing the Pastor's speeches, none of the mainstream Obama groupies had even mentioned the anti-American hate speech that this dude has absorbed, and believed for most of his adult life.

The Ferraro stuff is just stupid,..and knowing what a loose cannon she is, it was really stupid for Hillary's campaign to get Geraldine involved.

I'm a life-long Democrat, and I've seen some bad years for our party, but this year tops anything I've witnessed or read about in History books?

    Where's that brilliant Dukakis dude when we need him !!! :-}

Neither Obama or Clinton have any plan to deal with the Wall Street speculators who set the price of gas. Ralph Nader has said he will tax the Wall Street people who make money when their fellow Americans suffer. The comments of both the people you mentioned is typical of the two party system which is out of touch with America

You have to actually look at what the executive branch can actaully do concerning the issues you think are important.

The economy - the executive branch doesn't do squat.

The war - the executive branch controls the military and intellegence community.

Education - the executive branch doesn't do squat.

The housing - nope, no control there either

    Gas price - another negative.

The only thing the executive branch can do about those topics is sign or veto bills that come out of Congress.

sweety you have too, See Gerry only asked if we as a people understand that No junior senators ever made it this far and that if with Obamas Lack Luster voting record and failure to commit to ANYTHING would he be this far? He had a BUILT in Base of supporters because he is Black and they Vote in LARGE numbers for ONLY Blacks.

The Other racist fool Hates you because you are White and NEVER asked anything HE just hates. See the Differance and wHAT DOES Gas Prices have to do with it? They have been Paying $8 plus dollars per gallon in Europe for years and have lived the Liberal Life for 40 years.

They both are idiots. Wright is because he is racist and a separatist, and I am not fond of racist and separatists and the people who support them. Ferraro is not racist, she just a liberal, and she should keep her mouth shut if she can't say what she is really trying to say. Maybe large number of blacks that vote they way do have never voted for substance, that's why they vote the way do. If applies in the case of Barack it also applies in the cases of other people blacks have voted for, like Bill Clinton.

I'm in California and I damn near $4/gal. Instead complaining about the cost of my gas, I just make adjustments in my driving habits, carpool, and walk sometimes. Thats what you do in free market, you let the market correct itself.

I don't care about Ferraro, or Wright, and yes I bought gas today, $3.45 where I live. Some one has say, 'It's about the issues, Stupid!' at some point in time.

Yes, I care about Mr. Wright's comments. I do not care about Ferraros - she is not a spiritual leader nor guiding a presidentil candidate. She was just raising funds.

If the candidate himself or herself, demonstrates through past behavior that they do not hold their race or gender higher than others, Race or Gender should not matter.

However, if the candidate attends a club or church that is committed first and foremost to people of their race or gender, that would indicate the person would have prejudices.

Sorry I guess that means Obama's affiliation with his church and with Louis Farrakhan would DISQUALIFY him in the minds of rational thinking people.
