Which DTH do you recommend? Tatasky, Dish TV or Sun Direct?

The number of channels you could view through Sun or Dish might be a little higher than TataSky. But, still quality wise TataSky is better. You could subscribe to almost all the south Indian channels in TataSky too.

I had also come across this question for my DTH selection.

Tatasky and Dish are the same when you look from the face of it or if you have a small TV. However quality wise (channels per transponder) Tata Sky is better (though the number of channels are less). Even their service on the field (installation front) is far better than Dish.

This said, Tatasky's charges a premium for its quality and you will not be able to view even the free channels if your balance becomes negative, unlike dish. However they have become aggressive and have reduced the price of the boxes by about 50%.

SUN website and other aspects does not impress me. And they are new entrants and I don't expect its service to be comparable to Tatasky or Dish. They provide some south channels more than the others but, where is the time for all this.

In short in my analysis, if you have small - medium TV screen and care a lot for money and want lots and lots of channels - Dish TV is the way. If you are south Indian freak and want even the smallest south channel - might be SUN (not sure though). If you have a very big screen and quality is important and couple of rupees for better service is affordable, Tata Sky is the way.

Now it is difficult to say which is worst. All the DTH are good service provider. Tatasky is one step ahead of all in all ways

I suggest that Dish Tv is better than Tata sky or Sun direct. In sun Direct you will not get all the channels and in Tata sky you can't get as many channels as you get in Dish tv. Also there are 22 Radio channels in Dish Tv.

It depends upon your choice of channels. what type of channels you want to view. if you want to view mainly south indian channels then go for sun direct. otherwise check the list of channels provided by Tatasky & DishTV and decide yourself. Quality & pricewise, almost all are equal.

Dish TV is better because you can see free channels even after the payment is due
