Anybody watch Obama's speech this morning?
What a liar! Anybody else see through his futile attempt at damage control?

Yes I watched it, hoping to hear him "do the right thing". Which is to denounce everything and say that this pastor is completely wrong.
Instead, he denounced the statements, and defended the pastor as a good man. Whatever! That pastor meant every word he said, the passion in his hateful speeches were more than obvious!
Obama also said the pastor was a part of him, just as the black community was, and that he could not disown any of them! So apparently, that says it all!!!!
Obama could have said that it was wrong and acknowledged that we are in a time that a "solution" is in need.
Instead he continued to defend the black communities views and anger towards whites and America! And this is the kind of President some people are actually voting for?!
THIS ISN'T CHANGE! AND IT CERTAINLY ISN'T CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!!!
Obama totally contradicted himself and what his campaign stands for!

The people can only be informed, then it is up to each individual to make a rational decision! The real question is why are people ignoring the facts known about Obama and why aren't the voters at the very least concerned about his judgment. The information is factual, the characters are very unsavory corrupt individuals, a trumped up political record and 20 plus years with Wright. The Republicans have orchestrated this perfectly and in the end will keep the White House, mark my words!

To Amnesty sucks. He did not call his grandma racist, he said he has heard her on many occasion utter racist remarks that made him cringe and I for one believe it. Do you honestly believe that Obama's white grandmother was thrilled to have her daughter knocked up by a black man not to mention having the child dumped on her to serve as a constant reminder? I bet she let the n-word slip a few times. You need to get real sweetie.
It's one thing to cry racism but to claim it does not exist helps no one. Not blacks and certainly not whites. There is a huge gap in this country that needs to be addressed openly, constructively, and lovingly. When will Americans tire of all this conflict? We're dragging ourselves down into the muck with bitterness. It's really sad.

While Wrights comments are deplorable, and despicable, it does force us to consider something even greater than Barracks’s run for the presidency and that is the 8,000 members on trinity’s roll.
For a church to rise from 100 to 8,000 members listening to this trash makes me more concern for race relations than any faux noose incident could have done. The fact that these people when hearing this trash did not with one voice, stop it and demand that wright leave speaks volumes about their character and witness of Jesus Christ in their lives. A person is judged by the company that they keep; if you have close friends that are openly racist, you associate with them and then you are ledgiteably (sp?) open to critism for your beliefs and actions.
The God that I serve does not preach hatred of people, but love and justice without resorting to slurs. The “love your neighbor” concept seems to be missing from trinity and have to wonder what bible translation they are reading from.
The fact that there are mosques/churches in this country preaching the gospel of racism that is merely accepted by sheep, given a pass from the MSM, and illustrates that the New Media (hint bloggers, conservative talk radio, and etc) were right after all.
And blacks wonder why the other ethnic groups are apprehensive about getting along with them. Until black ethnics start to fight for the equality for all (not just for their own) then-and only then will America become more racially tolerant. Ironically its the latinos, whites, asians, Native-Americans, Filipinos, conservative blacks and etc are the only ones doing this.
It is pretty hard to “love your neighbor as yourself” while at the same time preaching that your neighbors are your oppressors.
How any self-respecting christian person can sit in a pew IN CHURCH and listen to this hogwash - the vitriol, the cussing, and the hate .
I think Wright’s church congregation should be made to attend diversity training to learn how to get along with people of other races and religions. It’s clear they have been seriously mislead.
I’m a Republican and conservative and hate every vile word Wright puked up, but I will not hold it against Barack no more that I would hold Mitt accountable for being Mormon. Nor would I want any of you calling me a child molester for being Catholic.

Look at the response here!! He was right we are a country of racists in denial. Until we face that fact there is no building bridges to put it past us.
I think he did a good job. It took courage, he did not out any one person, he made solid reasonable points. He was not throwing gas on a fire. He was not lowding praises on himself for being above the fray!

I watched it and saw our future President. He just proved that he could handle whatever is thrown at him. He took the issue head on and hit a home run.
I think the speech was amazing. He didn't play it easy and skirt the issue. He didn't play the victim. He openly and honestly discussed an issue that most people have been afraid to touch. Not only that he diffused the controversy of what his former pastor said.
Obama is just amazing. Both sides keep throwing everything they have got at him and he just keeps coming back stronger.

Who wrote the speech? Obama with help from advisors.
What did Obama and his advisors discuss before he gave the speech? What should Obama say to make him more electable.
Why did Obama (and advisors) feel he needed to make the speech? Because the public demanded it.
Are both parties playing on racism to get elected? Yes.

I think he dug himself in deeper since he stands by his pastor. Had he completely distanced himself from Mr Wright he MAY have had a chance at the nomination but he's pretty much toast. I would have thought it VERY funny if his teleprompter would have broken down about 2/3rds into the speech and did you notice he didn't take any questions
AFTER the speech ? He would have really been in trouble then.

Obama is a great orator, will be a great president and will finally bring respect back to USA after the disaster of the Bush administration and make a fool of the Bush puppet McCain.
