Are Lds saved either way?
My fellow Christians say that all I have to do to be saved is confess that Jesus is lord. Accept his gift of Grace and then I'm saved.
Lds believe that we need to be baptized by one having authority and then commit to a heap of other covenants to be saved.
If i have done both doesn't that mean I'm saved either way.
John I know what you mean . I knew this girl that openly professed that she worshiped Satan. Her parents didn't care. but when she became LDS her parents who were baptists did every thing in there power to get her to leave the church.

That's my question. I mean they say all we have to do is believe in Christ. Which I do. I don't believe in the Trinity, but I believe in Christ. The same as they do. So why do they spend so much time badgering me to leave the LDS church because of it's "falsehoods", when I'm already "saved"???? According to most of them, it doesn't matter which denomination you belong to as long as you believe in Christ. And like I said, I believe in Christ. So why do they care so much if I am Mormon?????

According to what Christians believe about being saved, then YEP! We are saved.
We of course believe there is SO much more to salvation and exaltation than just accepting Christ as your Savior, even though that is a huge part of it.
Don't worry about how others define salvation, we know the truth and that's all that matters.
You should read this great talk I think it was by Dallin H. Oaks, can't remember, but it's called "Are You Saved" - look at it on LDS.org, it is so wonderful in explaining our view of salvation vs. the typical Christian view.

I am afraid that many people do not understand the difference between immortality and eternal life. The atonement of Jesus Christ 'saved' us from sin. In that sense the whole world may be 'saved'. There is nothing we can do to merit this gift.
To obtain eternal life is to return to the Father and live as He does. Being free of sin is a first step. Loving Him with all our hearts is the next. And so it continues until we become perfect even as He is.

"PRAAAAISE the LORD JEEESUS!!!!" The televangelist said as he removed his hand from the head of the "so-called convincing actor" who then fell to the ground in convulsions.
"This Maaan has been SAAAVED by the Lord JEEEESUS."
Yes, LDS believe in baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. Not in just being told they've been saved.

Moroni 10: 32
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be eperfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.
or in other words- Faith without works is dead- What use is your faith in God and the Saviour if you don't put that faith into action? Even psycho killers believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ- Does that mean they are saved despite their actions?
Yes, we believe that we are saved by His grace, but we believe in becoming as perfect as we can in this life so we can meet Him halfway

I don't quite understand the thought process, but according to some "born-agains" saved people can murder and still be saved, but saved people who become Mormon lose their salvation.

LDS is a Cult! Just recognize that you are a sinner in need of The Saviour and accept Jesus in your heart! Simple. Romans 10:9-13). "They" go by "works" to get to heaven. Jesus hated that!! He said Grace and Faith will save you. (It is not what "we" have done. It is what He has done!) <')))><
