Mormon girl, all my life. Born and raised in the great state of TEXAS. Happily married, (at least most days) ;-) and mother of two.

  • How do I respond? They said I'm not his daughter. That I'm his adopted step-daughter.?

Silly, I know. But feelings are still hurt. How do I respond to this?

In a facebook thread about music, somebody inquired who I was because my name looked familiar. Turns our were family through marriage. Then somebody said "a little late with the correction here, Susan is not Tom's daughter. Tracey & Keri are his daughters; Susan is his adopted step-daughter. Just saying...................."

I would be Susan in this conversation. My so-called aunt said the above statement. How should I respond. I'm a little shocked and hurt.

  • Why does it make me so angry that my husband doesn't set his alarm or even ask me to wake him up from a nap?

so he will not miss his appointments or responsibilities. If it were up to him, he would sleep all day with seemingly no remorse. It just seems so lazy to waste the day in bed. I keep telling him, if you want to take a nap that's fine. Just set your alarm or let me know when you want to wake up. We all have responsibilities. In our case we have children, jobs, and a house to maintain. It just seems like he is taking it for granted that I will wake him up, as though I'm suppose to read his mind. I am not his mother, I am his wife, for Pete's sake.

Why does this make my so angry? I'm having trouble explaining it to the husband. Why can't he understand? Is it laziness, selfishness, What????

  • How do I confront my husband about flirting?

I suspect, and in fact have seen proof of my husband flirting with his old girlfriends in the internet. He gets mad if I start to bring up that he spends too much time on that site. I know his password and have checked his messages, so therefore I know he is meaning to hide these conversations. He has used phrases like "I think your cute, and I can't say that out in the open" and "do you think I was turning up the heat in my last message?"

This might be ok for some people, but I think ones marriage should be held at a high standard. I would never have anything other than civil contact with guys I've have relationships with in the past. It's just not right when your married.

How do I confront him about this without him finding out that I checked his messages?

  • Which religion does not allow/like dancing and why?

I'm just wondering what religion or group of people does not allow dancing, like between a man and a woman. For example there might be a wedding and reception, but there would be no dancing. And what is the reason for this?

  • Young Earth creationism? How do you explain these findings?

I heard many Christians say the earth is only about 6 thousand years old, regardless of what science says. How do you explain a Major Dinosaur Fossil Discovery which would show there was life on earth some 150 millions years ago?

  • Any Wife Swap fans out there?

I like watching Wife Swap and seeing how other people lead their lives, and how families run their households. For whatever reason, I find people in general very interesting.

Did anyone happen to see Wife Swap last night, Feb. 13th?

It was "Christian family" vs. "Christian Family". Watching this particular show really made me sick to my stomach, literally! Its amazing how 2 families, who both claim to follow Jesus Christ, can be so different. I'm a Christian too, but my gosh!!

What are your views? What other Wife Swap show have you enjoyed?

  • Will Monson be called as the new President of the LDS church?

This is such a sad time for the member of the LDS church, with the passing of our great Prophet and leader, President Gorden B. Hinckely. May peace be with us all, as he has returned to his Father's Kingdom and to the presence of his dearly beloved wife.

    Here's the question:

I know Pres. Thomas S. Monson is the 1st counselor of the LDS church, but does that guarantee his position to be the next President? David O. McKay was 2nd counselor to George Albert Smith. And in 1951, McKay was sustained as President of the Church even thought Pres. J. Reuben Clark Jr. faithfully served for almost 17 years.

I have absolutely nothing against Thomas S. Monson. He is a great man. I'm just wondering if there is a policy in place or if there is a possibility of the same thing happening again, as it did with David O. McKay.

  • What about the Greek Orthodox Church?

I'm just wondering. Can you tell me about the Greek Orthodox Church? What do the members of this faith believe? Do they believe in the Bible? Do they believe Jesus is the Savior of all mankind? What are some of the key points? I've seen in the Bible where the Greeks are mentioned. Were they considered to be "good people"?
