Any Wife Swap fans out there? Regarding the "Christian" episode?

I like watching Wife Swap and seeing how other people lead their lives, and how families run their households. For whatever reason, I find people in general very interesting.

Did anyone happen to see Wife Swap last night, Feb. 13th?

It was "Christian family" vs. "Christian Family". Watching this particular show really made me sick to my stomach, literally! Its amazing how 2 families, who both claim to follow Jesus Christ, can be so different.

I saw that too. I was shocked! I wanted to strangle the dad that was really excited about "brainwashing" his children. SICK!

    I didnt see it, i forgot :(

But I do remember seeing an episode a LONG time ago (it might have been "tradeing spouses" where there was a very christian woman and a verry wiccan woman. The Christian woman bought the family bibles. She wouldnt even read the letter of things the wiccan woman bought her family, she ripped it up and blessed her house. That was WAY too extreme. People like her ruin the Christian image.

These "reality" shows are edited and produced in such a way to create the most controversy and attract the most viewers.

Many interviews of people of such reality shows, has shown that what is seen on t.v. is not exactly how it happens.

They are filmed 24 hours a day...and this film gets into a 30 minute to 60 minute segment of programming. Much cutting and editing are done....the people interviewed have often said...where it appears there is controversy, there was actually none....but, with editing it appears there was.

Anyway, I did not see this show...I do not waste my time watching so much t.v.....but, know...not everything you see on reality t.v. is necessarily real

I watched it too, and the one family who believes that the wife must be a servent to the husband made ME sick. I can't believe that the father actually admitted to brainwashing his kids, THEN tried to justify it. What he does to his kids is what leaders do in cults. I'd stay away from the Kool-Aid in that household.

I was thinking the same thing, that two households who both believe in Christianity, will still fight over who is right. No one is ever right. No one's beliefs are right, nor are they wrong. The only thing is what is right in their hearts. Although abusing your children in the name of religion is absolutely wrong. Doing anything wrong in the name of your religion or God, brings down all that believe in that religion. And that's unfair.

I missed that one, darn it! But I still remember the lady who saw the devil everywhere and the lady who told the lesbian to her face that she was going to hell! Disgusting!

shows such as that are...all actors....none of the families, people, or situations are real...

a mock situation that is just a bad script.....

no one watches those shows any way so why worry about it....

Thankfully, christianity's dead. It's been dead since the Renaissance.
