Pungent--because you most often sense it with your nose first

Buttery--because when you slice the top off of a head of garlic and roast it until soft and then spread it on a slice of baguette, you don't need butter

    Sweet--see above

Savory--because it is so wonderful in tomato sauces, mixed into meat dishes, great with salads, dressings and a multitude of other foods

    Versatile--see above

Dependable--because it always delivers only what garlic can

    natural antihistemine

    fights high blood pressure

    anticarcinogen

FYI- To maximise health benefits from consuming cooked garlic, it has been suggested to allow crushed or chopped garlic to rest for 15 minutes before use to allow enzyme reactions to occur. However the primary compound of interest from this reaction, allicin, is generally deactivated during cooking due to its instability, and may be more beneficial consumed raw.
