It certainly is. You won't get many answers to this. All the western bible bashers will not like the idea of their lord being a "darky".

Jesus would have been a very strong and have a lot of muscle. He was a carpenter and would have had to cut down trees, carried them, sawed wood and make furniture. A weak insipid man that history has depicted is not how he was. Plus he had to be betrayed with a kiss, so would have been dark skinned as a middle eastern man so he didnt stand out as different to any jew at the time.

The earliest depiction of a bearded Jesus was in the 4th century from the Catacombs of Commodilla. All other bearded Christs are copies of that one... He looks decidedly Jewish in that picture.

The celts are mostly to blame for that. The church did as much as poss to make the whole Christian thing fit in with our perceptions. "holy festivals" were brought in line with Celtic festivals. Could go on for hours about this, easier for you to look it up
