Can someone give me the common connection with these three things in the UK ?

All indispensable

All undervalued

Government

Post Office losing £4m a week

NHS vastly overstaffed with managers

Police Force variable quality but basically hard working and diligent.

All funded by Central Government either part or fully.

They are all subjects brought up by the Tories today on Prime Minister's Questions in the house of commons where, hypocritically, the Tories criticised the government despite being three areas in which their previous government had a far worse track record.

More post offices were closed under Tory rule. Fact.

NHS spending per capita was lower. Fact.

There were fewer policemen with worse conditions. Fact.

i was going to make a fleeting comment that they are all crap but let me change that - the first two are for sure - the third should be changed to the Crown prosecution - they are crap, not the police. our police are working hard to catch criminals but what happens to them - sentences cut in half and not enough prison places to bring criminals to justice.

Government and uniform?

They're all necessary government services.
