how much to pay sitter?
Hi i need a little help. I am having my landlord's daughter who is in high school babysit for me next week and i have no idea how much to pay her! My daughter is 5 months old and will be kept from 4-10pm while i work. I am on a budget so i can't pay a crazy amount but this is my landlord so i don't want to come off as cheap Please help!

5 bucks an hour is standard these days. I tend to pay more if I am truly wowed by the job done, like if the house is clean and such.

Anywhere from $5-$8/hour would be a sufficient amount, I believe. Or you could discuss a flat rate you would pay at the end of the night.

I would say $30/day is fair for a high school student needing some extra cash. That comes out to be about $5/hr.

i would say $30 or $40 if you think she did an amazing job.... im 18 and have a daughter of my own now... sometimes i would get paid 5 an hour... and time to time id get a boost depending on the kid...
