Did anyone read or hear Obama's speech yesterday?

Win or lose - it will go down in history as a watershed moment. Quite frankly, I don't interprete the speech as damage-control or politicking. Even if he loses because of this - he has WON. Just my opinion.

He also used quotes from them in his book The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream.

Yes, Obama is a great speaker. Yes, he is charismatic. Yes, he is smart, but so were many of the world's worst dictators and criminals. Look long and hard at the person before you vote.

I thought it was amazing for lots for reasons

He spoke to america honestly, more honest than a politician ever has.

He was unafraid to comment on his own mistakes

He did not bow to pressure and disown his friend, even though he was clear about not agreeing with him

That type of tolerance and fortitude is rare.

AND he did this knowing he would be under a microscope because of the timing

it was a really good speech from the heart

He's not sounding like Obama any more, now he is sounding like a typical politician.

He said a lot of things other people were afraid to say.
