any one wanna go hunting? or just stay home and play on the computer?

i was just sitting here thinking we have a line of comunacation here and we seem to be wasting it on a lot of throw away questions.this could be a good place to hook each other up with swap hunts. i know i would be happy to take any one to my hunting grounds to hunt if they were going to hook my up with hunting animals or in places that i have never hunted before...what do you guys think?

Why do people come onto a hunting section and put the people who do it down and blame them as heartless? I don't go onto your male manicure, hey boys lets hit the mall and pick up some mocha and hair gel sections and tell you to grow a pair.

    EDIT:Tahuna

If the message doesn't apply to you don't take it personally "big guy". And with all that enlightenment and education you seem to lack an open mind and see that without hunting we wouldn't be here. As nomadic people humans hunted for survival, hunting is hard-wired into our natural instincts and should be used. Although true hunting is fair and tests peoples skills and senses some play outside the rules by poaching and tresspassing, and like everything else the bad ones label the bunch.

EDIT: Your on the right track then. Anything I hunt and kill will eventually find its way into my freezer and into cooked food. Except deer which is made into jerky, mostly because it lasts forever and tastes good if made right. Good Luck.

thats a great idea! good way to learn about the seasons and methods in new places.

i live and hunt in Oregon's vast Pacific Northwest. the coast range mountains is where i call home, also where the new History channel show AXMEN was filmed, 12 miles from my house.

We have black tail deer , elk, black bear, turkey, mountain lions, and ferrel pigs. oh and coyotes and small game too. salmon and steelhead fishing from 6 rivers all real close by.

I went to school to be a medical secretary there is a lot of stuff you need to learn so it's very unlikely that you can get a front-line secretarial job without 8-16 months of courses and a diploma. What I would do is volunteer somewhere first and then they might hire you without work experience but you WILL have to use and answer the phone. Don't worry that used to be my number one fear and now I use phones all day long on incoming and outgoing calls. On outgoing calls you can have a script & on incoming calls, the person who is calling tells you what they want so it's easy. All you have to say is "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" and the name of your company.

    Pooter!

me likey the animals with the big sad eyes.

    Would like a burger though.

    EDIT: Hey, D.C....

Just because I find the practice of hunting for sport archaic and barbarous doesn't mean I frequent salons at the mall....or anywhere else.

You would make a mistake to assume that all well-educated, compassionate, and enlightened people cannot also be tough. I'm the kind of guy you wouldn't say much to in person, unless you are seriously capable of sacking it up. And, yes, I'm protective of wildlife, its true.... but not so much of idiotic people.

OKAY, ONE MORE EDIT FOR D.C.:

Thanks for your response. As you can see from my first edit, I object only to hunting for "sport." I have no problem with people who hunt and then consume the prey they take. If you are only going to stuff and mount the animal, then I think that practice is abhorrent. I deeply honor the skills of the hunters (and the gatherers) who kept the human race alive and viable. At some level, I also feel like the "art" should be kept alive. But when its a dumbass "hunter" who pulls over to take a pot shot at a deer (or anything else) out of season or just because its fun, THAT guy I want to bust in the chops! ....

Prairie dogs are always in season. We should hook up at a prairie dog town.
