God is not just an experience, he is an eternally unlimited entity. When you believe in God you're just putting it out there that you think there more to life that whats on earth and we share a common creator. Feeling God has to be a miraculous experience where a sudden realization comes to you from within; the silent voice of God speaking to you.

Neither.
God is primarily a "sensing" experience, which is very close to feeling, and then a believing experience, because we can't believe in what we don't sense. That means we need to use our senses to know God, since we can't see, hear, smell, taste or touch God, the only sense we can use to know God is the sixth sense which is the intuition, the connection to what is unknown and the perception. Therefore, I would say we first sense God, perceive God and intuitively feel God, and then we are able to believe in Him.
That's why some people can't believe in Him, because their sixth sense is not exactly being put in practice. Usually people more attached to the material world (values) are less intuitive. Sixth sense/intuition sometimes needs to be practiced, other times it happens to develop when we face misfortune in life, a grief or something that forces us to question the unknown, because questioning always leads us to perceive God. Other times, it doesn't happen at all in one lifetime, but certainly in another lifetime it will develop.

God is said to be "sadchidananda": Existence-Consciousness-Bliss. Bliss is sometimes interpreted to mean "Experience," and the whole idea is that God is Existence, Consciousness, and Experience and is the absolute ground and basis of these things. As another responder eloquently noted: "God is experience."
Belief and feeling are both forms of experience and a belief is generally grounded in feeling.

Knowing God intellectually can lack depth and be full of opinion and judgement.

Our faith rests on fact, never on feeling.
Feelings DO come, but the facts must be straight. Why? Because people can be fooled!
No one should be making decisions based on feelings, but by recognizing truth and facts.
God is a very real person, three in one.
The "experience" you should have is from a real relationship with God.
But remember, never go on mere feeling.
