Which do you feel is the best way as a Christian to "Spread the good news"?

to stand on a corner and yell it at the world, to stop everyone in the streets to tell them, or to live a life in keeping with that news feeding the hungry, caring for the unwanted and sharing when asked what makes you do these things? Which witness would you rather see or hear?

I've learned that the nonbelievers watch what we do in our lives. So we cannot tell them about God, we have to demonstrate the love of God.

Live a life keeping with that news feeding the hungry caring , and so on. Man I think the first two reason's is why so many people are turned off by Christians, and don't like Christians. Man I know. I have a mixed reason for doing the type of things listed. One fear/love of God. Another reason is humanity/ love of my neighbor. Its healthy for to live a life that keeps with the good news. There is a man in my neighborhood who wears a sign "Liars go to Hell" ( and some scripture underneath)I can imagine how many people his sign has had the opposite effect on. Well...................

That was one of the best pleas I've read in a long time and I sympathise with how you feel, even if I'm not gay. However I think it is a mistake to automatically associate hate with being put to death. Would you not put down your old crippled dog and still love him? Even the ArchDevil, Hitler, had them put to death. I would not advocate that and do not agree with the bible's statements on the subject. What I personally dislike is that, considering that there are well over 2 billion people on this planet that are religious and not in favour of 'gays', why you insist in affronting them with what they view as sin, and are always pressing for more tolerance, to the extent of having marriages and so on. So it can be no suprise to you that they react against it, even strongly. Wisdom would say stay in the closet and keep to yourselves. When things get rough, as they are going to over the next few years and beyond, it is well known that populations turn on minorities they dislike to give vent to their fear and anger. As Christ said, Let he who is without sin throw the first stone. I do not throw stones, but others will. Don't be a target seems commonsense and perhaps even wise.

we all have our gifts. you may not agree with others, but allow them their freedom to spread the good news in the way that suits them best.

think of it...what if you had a prophetic dream that told you that the world would end tomorrow at a certain time....would you just live your life doing your "works" or would you be standing on a corner, shouting, begging and screaming for people to wake up and save themselves?

it's not what "we" feel is the correct way to be a Christian, it's what God has called us to...we serve Him, not the other way around...

I'm not a christian, and don't wish for people to try to convert me, I dont wish to convert anyone. I have my own faith, and own ideas on things, I think for myself, and for others to tell me I'm wrong is disrespectful, and impossible to be proved. I have shared my food with the hungry, helped disabled vets and homeless, and would if I could help those in need. Is this really me witnessing the virtues of my faith? Or showing the quality and content of my human heart? Just remember that all faiths have their good points, and not all christians are good people, and not all good people are christian.

This is an easy one for me to answer. The best way to "spread the Good News" is to live a life that reflects God's love. Action speaks louder than words. Give people something they can see, something active in your life, and they will come to you. And you won't ever have to speak above a whisper......Blessings!

...the best way is to follow God's lead at the time...if it's put on your heart to stand on a street corner, then by all means do so...I have a friend who, some years ago, was using a phone booth, another was waiting to use it next...after she finished her call, she felt an overwhelming desire to ask this person if He knew Jesus...long story short, she ended up helping Him to accept Christ right then and there...after wards when the person was leaving, he stopped and turned around and looked at her one more time and said "Forgive me for staring, but I wanted to remember the face of the one who helped save me"...then he turned and walked away into the crowd

The way we live our life is the best way to spread the good news and...

    James 1:27

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Don't prosletyze, it's unnecessary amongst believers, and non-believers (like me) just find it annoying, and actually works counter to your intentions.

If you want to show me that living as a Christian is better than living as a Jew, you need to demonstrate that in your actions - not by knocking on my door and asking if I know Jesus.

Do NOT stand on a corner and yell it at the world, you'll come across as the Westboro Baptists - who actually are showing people why it's WRONG to be Christian. I don't think you want that...

Be a good example, love one another, be ready to share the gospel and remain at rest.

When we set a good example and love one another, others will see the love of God in action.

"But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear (respect)" (1 Peter 3:15)

"No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us." (1 John 4:12)

    God bless you, sister.

Look at Jame's description of pure and undefiled religion, caring for the unwanted is best.
