How much do you believe in 'you are what you eat'?

i'd be much obliged that if you could come up with some personal food habits that prove you theory.

Yes, because I take nutrition class at my University and the first chapter is titled "You Are What You Eat" and it explains exactly why. Whatever you eat gets broken down into the body and becomes you by either building you up, or replacing cells that are constantly dieing on you.

All I can tell you is that I really do feel better, both physically and mentally, when I eat a well-balanced diet (as opposed to a diet based mostly on fast food, junk food, soft drinks, sugary stuff, etc.). Don't have any scientific evidence to back it up -- I just find that I'm more irritable, don't feel as well, and don't sleep as well when I'm eating a "less healthy" diet.
