If you look carefuly, you will see liberals bringing it up, all the time, and using it as a weapon against conservatives...

It is just a powerful weapon in the liberal arsenal...

It's pretty easy to put the issue of slavery behind you when you weren't the ones in chains.

White America IS largely past issues of race.

Much of Black America however is holding a grudge. Some Blacks even think they are still in chains.

Young circus elephants have a leg CHAINED to prevent escape. Once they accept the impossibility of escape, they are tied with ROPES. The ropes aren't really strong enough to stop a determined elephant but the elephants don't try because they still think they are in chains.

The chains came off Black America in the 1850s; the last ropes came off in the 1970s. And modern American racism amounts to being tied up with string.

The 'concern' with Racism comes from your old bulls like Rev Jeremiah Wright who passionately teach the new generation of American Blacks to be pissed off about chains and ropes that no longer exist.

AND your liberal Socialists who encourage such rhetoric because Black rage & racism suit their political agenda of ending the "evil" of personal wealth altogether.

Most Americans just want the best leader, regardless of race & gender.

Racial concerns derive largely from confused Blacks & Demagoging Socialists.

90% of blacks have voted for Obama for no other reason than that he's black.

Absolutely true. Oprah is a very intelligent woman. She’s voting for Obama? C’mon… If 90% of whites voted for a white candidate, we would be the first to be labeled racist. I believe that this is going to be about race, not gender. I’ve never liked the Clintons. I think they are power hungry and selfish. I would never entertain the notion of voting for Hillary. I have no problem voting for a woman. But I have nothing in common with her views. Someday there will be a woman president. Thankfully it won’t be this time around. Condi 2012! (wow, I’m a white guy endorsing Condoleeza Rice, a black woman for president)

Obama came outta nowhere. That is a perfect strategy. Not much of a public history. The skeletons are starting to come out now, though. He said that he would never hire a person with the potential to spew hateful remarks as a member of his campaign last year. He was referring to Don Imus. He wanted Imus fired for his juvenile remarks. Then he turns around and goes to church to dance, clap and yell “Amen!” to his racist, anti-America preacher of 20 years....and HIRES him as his spiritual advisor.

I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."

So two-faced. He says whatever needs to be said to whomever. Talks the “black” talk to blacks, the “white” talk to whites. He is the most liberal senator in America. He has no experience. Hussein will raise taxes to fund universal health care. Yes, if B. Hussien Obama is the democratic candidate, it will be a racial issue. Out of the 90% of the blacks that have voted for Obama, how many can name just one hardline stance of his? Besides “change”. That’s what is going to make this a racial election. Presidents don’t create jobs. Presidents don’t make you fat, give you diabetes, make you smarter, pass your exams or give you promotions and raises. Somewhere, someone needs to pick their lazy butt off the welfare couch, get a job, pay taxes, contribute to society and stop complaining that they are owed something for nothing. Change starts with the guy staring back at you from the mirror.

Someday we'll have a black president. Someday we'll have a woman president. Bring it on! We are not that far off. Here's to the future...

You talk as if what they believe is important .

Its what they do that effects us and has nothing to do with what they believe .

So dangerous is the concept of the after life that young men and women are willing to sacrifice this life on the battle field only because they feel as if they will go to another place .

What crap to fill the minds of children with .

So they grow up thinking such nonsense .

Every minister and priest is a con man and all religions demand loyalty which is insane .

But there are no real differences in what they believe. They are pretty much the same, and will say whatever it takes to get nominated.

Maybe after one of them gets the nomination, they can get more specific, but until then, the only real things that set them apart are their gender and their race. Pick one.

What should matter is WHAT They Can Accomplish while in the white house and hopefully NOT get us into a war.

Race and gender is a big deal b/c it has a lot to do with where the candidate came from, how they were raised, they would be more sensitive to certain issues more than others, etc.

As a woman, I would love to see a woman Pres. But is Hillary the one? idk yet, but I'll def be paying more attention to her speeches....as we should be doing w/ all the candidates.

Race and gender forms who we are, sadly, the world divides its self into group, whether to popular kids or countries. People ike to judge others based on ther name rhyming with Osama, sdly many people lose oppurtunities because of there name or gender. Our country has sucummbed to a judgemental perfectionist. Even if Barack Obama was muslim who cares, (even thoouogh hes not) , t doesn't mean hes gnna hijack a plane or be the anti-christ, hes a harvard grad for christs sake! We need to look at what he believs in: Hope, Change, Unity: he plan for the credit crunch, war in iraq, global warming, gay marriage, abortion, etc.

    ps. im 14, be nice!

They're not - it's the media and the left-wing that isn't just concerned about race and gender, they're OBSESSED by it.

It's often very sad to watch the media and the left-wing act out about race and gender but most Americans have much more pressing matters in our lives to waste time getting stuck on these issues.

are you sure you want to go with this (what they believe)? The majority of Americans don't belong to a special interest group like the naacp or feminist groups. The people that are concerned with race and gender are the ones who yell "racism" or "sexism" all the time.

To me I don't care if the person is male of female, black or white. I do have concerns over a man running for president that will go to a church for seventeen years where the pastor cusses the country he wants to be president of.

Because the country was built on the backs of slaves which is represented today through the way undocumented aliens (hispanics and hatians in particular) are worked and treated today. These folks are good enough to build the homes that Americans sleep in but are hardly ever looked at as citizens more than a drunk or a criminal.
