what happens if you drink while pregnant?

It's not healthy for the baby. Also, if you smoke, stop that bad habit right away. If your not going to make sure you deliver a healthy baby and you want to go out drinking, you don't deserve the privilege of being blessed with a child.

If you drink alcohol while pregnant you risk the chance of harming your child.. you increase the chances of organs not forming properly.. the kidneys and liver not functioning adequately... the risk of fetal alcohol syndrome.. seizure... depending on the frequency and length of the drinking the baby would be forced to go through withdrawals.... much the same as an alcoholic...

It is a horrible thing to see a small baby have to go through and the effects can follow the child through out their life..

Many say that you should not drink at all because they don't know how much alcohol it takes to cause Fetal Alcohol syndrome. I had an occasional glass of wine with both my kids and they are both fine.

your baby could have serious defects or have alcohol in it''s blood when it is born.

They say when you are pregnant, by the time you have had enough alcohol to feel a buzz, your baby is about to pass out from so much alcohol. could you imagine if you drank like that through out your pregnancy!?! your baby would not be right when it came out!!! don't do it!

Anyone who does this to a baby, deserves to be dragged into the streets and beaten to death after the baby is born.

I think it is important to know how much you are drinking. Small amounts of alcohol such as a small glass of wine is fine. However if you are drinking alot is can cause miscarriage, hemorrhage, and FAS.

If you drink, the fetus drinks as well. Alcohol consumption during pregnancy can lead to physical and mental disabilities, which have disastrous consequences.

U risk ur childs life or body parts growing and can cause probs during labour...im sure no drink for a while wont hurt...i didnt touch a drop during my pregnancy...

fetal alcohol syndrome...drinking while pregnant can cause birth defects, impairments and even problems later in life. if enough alcohol is consumed it can even cause death to the fetus. its not a smart thing to do in pregnancy.

u risk your baby having birth defects and other problems down the road. Its better to avoid alcohol all together!
