If purely for the alcohol content then yes...I think the have some issues.
I drank it once...I had a severely inflamed throat that was so painful that I could not eat and barely drank for about 4 days. I gargled the mouthwash to try kill the infection but it didn't feel like it was going far enough down my throat...so I swallowed it. I hadn't eaten in 4 days....I was desperate lol.
For anyone ever considering swallowing mouthwash: DON'T!! It burned like hell all the way down and I could feel it sitting in my stomach for hours. It is very nasty.
To drink it for the alcohol content you'd have to be really stupid or so far gone and desperate that you were in serious need of help. To do it once would be a big warning sign. To do it more than once...well I'd say that person needs serious help before they do something even more stupid.

In a word, YES! It's no news that SOME people in a rehab for alcohol abuse have tried that one. There is both a physical and psychological dependence for people who abuse/have a problem with alcohol. It's probably a combination of both that would have them drink the mouthwash. If they didn't have one or both of those dependencies, they would not do it, even once.

If it was only once I don't think it would be something to worry about... probably just experimenting. But if it happened again, I personally would think might be a problem. Plus, I heard somewhere that mouthwash is really hard on your body when you drink it.

I am sorry but I think that whole thing of deficating into a jar, covering it with a rubber glove, and then sucking the gas out of the glove, is a WHOLE lot more of a problem then drinking mouthwash. Atleast with mouthwash your breath smells better lol.

I heard that some people go and suck with a hose petrol from others cars to get the dizzy effect of alcohol. They steal the petrol then drink such poisonous material, Now that's a problem.

What difference does your height and weight make??? You can't get drunk on mouthwash but it can make you awfully sick! Read the label...btw, if you're 22 I'll eat my hat. Good luck at the hospital.

yes, but considering that its not even the same type of alcohol, i would say they have more problems than just that.

I would not think anything bad, because when we are addict , if this is the case, we get desperate and will try to get the next closes thing to our drug/drink of choice.
Source(s): I might add that that person should get help, even if it takes afew time to get it right, But alcohol can be dangerous if done alone, other stuff you might feel like youdying but you wount but alcohol and benzos you need a Doctor.
