Acupuncture?

I just had my second acupuncture session and when I got home I realized there is a rather large knot on my right hand where one of the needles was inserted and a bruise is forming. Also my hand is feeling stiff. Is this normal? Should I mention it at my next visit?

1 - Rub out the large knot and apply a bit of ice to reduce swelling.

2 - Call your acupuncturist NOW and report what is happening

While it's not abnormal, having the stiffness is not what is suppose to happen. One of the great things about acupuncture is it's all about not having pain or discomfort. Please call and let them know what has happened.

It may be Hematoma. It should go away in a few days, you should mention it to your acupuncturist anyway. Better safe than sorry.
