Bad bridesmaid's dress?

I ordered and paid for a bridesmaid's dress. The dress came in and I went to try it on. The sash was ordered in the wrong color. I needed a black dress with a white sash, they ordered a black dress with a black sash. What kind of idiot would buy a black dress with a black sash?? Anyway, they called the factory and could not get a new dress in time for the wedding, so the factory sent them a white sash and they said they would change it. I went in today to be fitted for alterations and see the new white sash. It looks horrible. My 12 year old could have sewn it. The seam doesn't match up on the side and there is white thread showing. It is all bunchy and they took in the waist to make it smaller. She said she knew it was too big on me so she asked them to alter it a bit. I think they messed up and took in the sides to hide it. Who does alterations without trying it on first? I told her how unhappy I am with the dress. She insists that it is fine. Refuses to give refund and is very rude.

I hate people that work in those shops, they always have to mess something up and insist its fine when its really not.

If you really that unhappy with it try going back and insist you want some of your money back for a bad job on it.

Show the bride the dress, and make the suggestion of going to your local mall, or any other retailer who sells nice dresses, and get the closest match possible to the original dress. If it doesn't have the sash, take it to someone you know and trust to sew it on. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

    Good luck!

Yes that is rude! I would consult a manager. If that were me 1) i wouldn't want to look bad just beacuse! and 2) I wouldn't want the bride to be unhappy about it on her wedding day!

You must get a new dress demand it and say that you will never shop there again and will never recomend it again!

Tell you bride/groom about how they shouold relly get you a new dress!

Stand your ground. Customer Service is a joke. The company messes up and thinks the consumer is the idiot. Sorry this happened.

im with brown eyes...stand your ground...for her to insist that it is fine when your unhappy is pretty ridiculous. Maybe you can work out a deal and get a percentage off of it and take it elsewhere to get it fixed up.

:S if its that bad you might need to find another dress or live with it and try fix the sewing yourself?

or take it to a differnt alterations place and ask what they can do?

    good luck! x

i suggest you insist on a refund on the dresses. and if they will not give you it then ask if you can trade in those dresses for others at the store.
