Should Obama supporters be telling OTHERS to "get educated"--or should we tell them that?

After all, they are supporting a guy with nefarious contacts and a meager political record, who does nothing but give speeches while his behavior has nothing to do with what he says. How outrageous that they tell US to "get educated." I would be that these supporters are undergraduates in crumby colleges with the real equivalent of an eighth grade education.

Update:

To Miss Master's Degree, I have two Master's degrees and a Ph.D. A master's degree is like falling out of bed as compared to the Ph.D. So don't lecture me about your "education." I notice a lot of parvenu to the literate world get very excited about their infantile education when they find have the slightest semblance of cultural or other literacy. Don't pat yourself on the *** too hard. Secondly, the so-called "educated" voters for Obama suffer from white guilt and liberal mailaise. The are also the same people that promote blacks in academia if they can so much as spell their names. It's really quite ludicrous.

Awww....now you have all of the Obama supporters looking up the meaning of the word " nefarious " --- Actually, the Obama supporters would be better served by turning down the volume on MTV as they study for their GED ----In language they would understand ----If Obama is elected ....that would be a tapestry of justice...........

You are so right. I don't have a college degree, but I do have some college. What education I have has taught me to THINK for myself. I really feel sorry for those who blindly play "Follow the Leader" , with the Obama camp. The media is the one who says the educated are standing with Obama. Who can believe what some biased news reporter says, when it is in essence, only his opinion. I have not seen any real plan by the Obama camp that says HOW he will accomplish anything. His record is very POOR at the very least. How can someone who counts as "Present", but doesn't vote, know what is going on? He won his seat by a fluke. When one candidate suddenly dropped out, Obama was the only choice that people were familar with. Many so called educated people go to the polls and vote for a candidate because his/her name is the only one they are familar with. The only reason they are familiar with that name is because they just recently saw it somewhere. Oh, for those who think I must be psychic, I'm not, I just have good listening skills and I have heard people say that as they were exiting the voting place.

    Uneducated, is as uneducated does.

An educaion does not make you super smart or give you common sense. If you aren't born with common sense, there is no education in the world that will help. A true education will help you with the power of reasoning.

No I am not downing anyone with a higher education, Education is what you do with it after you obtain it.

The ones in the black community that support this ideology, like Obama, Wright, and his supporters, need to realize that they have been ranting for years that they are mistreated due to their color and yet, they are feeding the problem instead of making a difference! They are contradicting their own issues! TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT!

I have to say that I do not believe that all blacks agree with Wright! I know some that are completely embarrassed and outraged by his sermons and even so with Obama's lack of when it comes to Wright!

We should be telling them that. However, the Obama supporters are basically under a spell. There is nothing to Obama. He is campaigning on air, just air. No one knows what he stands for, because he really hasn't let us know yet. His economic plan would have been vetoed by 90 percent of The Senate. His health plan is LOL, as there is not enough money to support free health for everyone. He does not understand the first thing about foreign policy. Obama would be easily as poor a president as Jimmy Carter was. The news is reporting that he comes to this campaign, as totally unprepared as Carter.

So true, another media "myth" that the Obama supporters are the highly educated demographic. Yet, watch interviews and they cannot even explain why they support him or what he stands for except "change". Any motivational speaker on this rationale could run for President. His actions speak louder than his poetic speeches. It is the educated that has researched his torrid past that is beginning to be seen by the general public.

There is a racial divide in the US and no one can deny that. And what he is proposing is US can be better if children, regardless of their race, are provided with better education, then the gap can be closed. And if different races can listen to concern of each other, then there will be less hatred in the future.

It is not something we don't know already. But no one has really speak about it upfront. And it is something that can done if people start to take the initiative to do it.

OK, first of all, I have a master's degree from Stanford, live in an amazing home in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and make a good amount of money. So let's put away the generalization you propose about Obama's supporters. Having worked for his campaign, I can tell you that the supporters skew towards the very highly educated but also come from all socio-economic groups and all races.

I see that you are a Clinton supporter. Do you feel that the best way to support your preferred candidate is to practice the politics of personal destruction against another candidate, even if it destroys the party they both belong to?

Let me answer your question now: when anyone tells someone else to "get educated," it usually means that they feel the person is lacking in knowledge or has demonstrated an incomplete grasp of the facts. So if people are telling you that, perhaps it would be helpful for you to do more reading or think over some of the answers you've gotten (if they sound reasonable) and see if there is more you can learn on the given subject.

Most obama supporters probably couldn't tell me anything about his voting record or stand on issues(outside of maybe that he wants to end the iraq war).

No Obama supporters don't need to get educated, however they do all need to see a psychiatrist to be levitated from the brain washing they endured a few months ago.

I support any democrat. and I am educated enough to know that I don't want 100 years of war with Iraq. So with this being said who of the two of us need educating?
