blood blister with a nostril piercing?
i got my nose pierced about 3 weeks ago. A week ago, what looks like a blood blister appeared right next to the piercing. I have continued cleaning it 2x a day. Is there anything specific I should do? Will it fix itself or should I go back and talk to my piercer about what to do?

I had this before after I got my nose pierced, for me it happened almost a year after, but that doesn't make a difference. It is infected. because I went through the exact same thing, it's embarassing and doesn't look very good.
If you have a stud in your nose and you cannot clean around it well, you have a higher possibility of infection. You can clean it, inside and outside. But with a ring, you can then clean the ring and let it rotate through. It is much more advisable to do it that way and, of course, after it heals you can pull it out and put whatever you want there.(even though you probably DON'T want to wear a ring) But it doesn't mean you HAVE to because I never did, it can just help prevent infection. You can get a big infection in the nose. The oily stuff on the side your nose is full of bacteria. That is the first problem. Secondly, the inside of the nose is full of bacteria too because your nose filters out the air as it comes in. To treat an infected nose piercing, you will need to clean it very well with antibacterial ointment. If it starts to really get infected, I advise you to take it out. You want to be careful and not get an infection of that close to you know your brainstem. This is the danger in getting your nose pierced. If your nose piercing is infected it will be obvious. It will be swollen, painful, puffy and red - Like what you and I both had/have. I'm not trying to make it sound worse, it's not a big deal, mine DID eventually go away, it will just take some time, I've had my nose pierced for 3 years now and it never gets infected, Good luck, hope I helped!

I too faced a similar situation when I got my nose pierced , it got pretty messy before getting better :-) The blister is happening as a result of a common infection one may get on any would. Take antibiotics for 3-4 days and apply some antiseptic cream to dry out. Try not taking out the stud as the piercing will close leaving a mark and you will have to go through the whole thing again....

Well eventually, it should pop itself.
But you can go to a piercer and then they can help you.
But make sure you do continue cleaning it.
