Did you see the Moon last night? Will you watch tonight? It is Awesome?

The Paschal Full Moon roughly corresponds to the first full moon of the northern Spring. The name 'Paschal' stems from the fact that each year, the date of Easter is determined as the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon...

There's a full moon tonight and according to folklore it is called the Worm Moon. The Worm Moon heralds warm spring days, thawing ground, robins and, of course, earthworms. Coincidentally, this year's Worm Moon is also the Paschal Moon, the first full moon of northern spring that sets the date of Easter.

Today is Good Friday the day our Lord loved the world that he paid the price of a Sinful World that we all have eternal life who believe...

To all Posters of all faiths or none at all- I wish a Beautiful Weekend.

Happy Purim! Happy Easter!

It was beautiful last night, thank you, and I will watch tonight. There isn't a cloud in the sky out here in California, so it should be quite a spectacle.

    Happer Easter, Crimmson.

    Honey,

    Happy Easter to you.

But I thought Easter was, was just 40 days after the start of Lent, and the full moon thing was a coincidence, I have never heard of a "worm moon", or its origin, and that's not at all mentioned in the Bible....

anywhooooo, we had cloudy skies, and any sight of the moon, or just being 6' above ground is Awsome for me...

    again, Happy Easter.....

It was pretty cloudy here last night, but the moon gave a great effect of lighting up the clouds from behind with a bright white glow. It was truly cool. I'll be up in CT tonight, so there should be even less light pollution. I hope it'll be clear.

It was pretty overcast here last night and the moon looked like a fuzzy dust bunny. Will probably be the same tonight.

    Happy Easter.

I will be looking at the moon tonight, as last night it was too cloudy to see it. It is very humbling to think of what Christ underwent so that we may have eternal life, and to think that He did it because He loves us. There is NO greater love that that! God bless you, and I pray you and your family have a very blessed Easter!

That's lovely C&C! I love astronomy and the moon, being our nearest celestial body, is of particular interest. I will be sure to take a look.
