Update:

ive always flown from charlotte to detroit then had some one pick me up and drive to canada, its my first time flying from detroit to london ont. and im kinda clueless on it... they said i dont have to get my bags and they put it in my next plane but they check my carry on at customs right? im soo lost.

I dont know if 35 minutes is long enough but it doesnt give you much room to play with man. Some countries will have you to get your luggage and take it through customs and then re check it in even if youre checked in all the way to your final destination.

Depending on the size off detroits airport I would recommend at least 45 to 60 minutes between flights and sometimes up to 1 and a half hour if you need to go through security, customs and imigrations and things like that. Check with your airlines and the airport for minimum transfer times. Johan

You'll make it. The important thing is, are you still gonna be on YA up in the land of ham called bacon? This would suck without you. By the way, just drink heavily, and then, even if your travel gets all screwed up, it's all good.

after 9/11, airports became waiting rooms. get there an hour before your plane leaves. else you take the risk of being caught up in the security mess as your plane takes off, without you. seriously, get there early.

NO you need to get in AT LEASE and hour and a half ahead of time, ESPECIALLY if you're going to a different country.
