Is it dangerous to use earplugs while sleeping every night?

When I pull them out in the morning, my ear canal is always sore... is this normal?

My house is too noisy haha.

I don't think you're harming your ear, but you may have a small ear canal. I have small ear canals and wear earplugs frequently because loud noises bother me, and my canals used to sore as you described, so I bought those foam earplugs and cut them in half longways (so that I have two long skinny plugs). It helps with the soreness quire a bit and the noise reduction is still very good. Good luck!

Not harmful at all...actually your ear might be sore because the earplug isn't really that soft.

You can visit an Audiologist and have a pair of sleep plugs to be made up. These are made up of a soft material and are custom fitted to your ear so that they are comfortable.
