Easter is set by the first full moon after the vernal equinox. This is the one day in the year when day and night are roughly equal!
It varies by more than a month over the years and so it simply cannot represent the date of anyone's death!!!
It is in fact a combination of several pagan festivals most notably the spring festival.
The name Easter comes from “Eastre” an Anglo-Saxon pagan goddess. Even the Chinese have the festival of Ching Ming where flowers and sweets are put on their ancestors graves!!
The egg and the rabbit are symbols of springtime and rebirth!
Fun to watch the Christians worshiping a pagan festival though - makes it just like Christmas when they do the same thing!!!

Yes! It was much better than expected. I worked Friday and chilled in the evening as I was bloody knackered. lol Saturday was really good. Hanged with friends through the day and night and had an all round great time. Sunday I slept in and had Easter dinner with the fam (which as always was entertaining and interesting. lol) Today i'm working but not work work and wasting time here so I don't actually have to do the work, ya feel meh?

My wonderful wife of 36 years got out of bed early this morning and started cooking. By 12 o'clock my home was full of screaming children and talkative adults. We sat down to eat at two o'clock and the food and all the family being
home was wonderful. Wish every day was like today. Today was all i expected and then some!!!

Well, I woke up around 8:30 and I went to church with my best friend, Hannah. After that we went out to eat at some Mexican place. Then we went to Hannah's aunts house that lives about 40 minutes away. Hannah's brother and his girlfriend came too. At Hannah's aunt's house there was Hannah's aunts, uncles, parents, and cousins. We went Easter egg hunting in her front yard and her back yard. There was 250 eggs, I think. There was some painted hard boiled eggs, some plastic eggs with candy in it and some plastic eggs with change in it. I got 1.45$ in change. And I got a lot of candy. After that, we left for church again. Then after that, we went out to eat with 3 adults from church. Then Hannah's mom dropped me off at my house. (I live on Hannah's street) And I asked my mom if Hannah could spend the night and she said sure. She got her stuff and came over. Then we dowloaded songs on her mp3 player and we listened to music, talked to Brittney, (Brittney is me and Hannah's best friend that moved to California last summer.) and we also played on the computer and talked to people on yahoo messenger (I have two computers so we did'nt have to share). Then we went in my room and just did a lot of stuff. After awhile we fell asleep. It was about 2:00.
So thats everything I did on Easter!!! It was not what I'd expected it to be. But it was definitly fun.

Not sure yet! Mine's not over!
So far though, I've been having a good day. My parents are away, as well as my little sister. I haven't eaten any chocolate or candy, haven't seen ANY eggs, and haven't really spent any time with friends.
I'm having a very relaxing easter so far!
Thank you for asking! Hope yours is good too!
